If the price were right and he were willing to move I like the idea of David Perron in the top 6.

Veteran guy, shouldn't be too pricey, full of grit, two playoff runs left on his contract, and he's proven to be one of those guys that can elevate in the playoffs.

lmfaooooooooo🤣

i suspect that buston glassthews’ being one of the team leaders in hits is catching up to him🤦🏿‍♂️

hopefully, this is just a minor injury and he’s sitting out due to an abundance of caution🙏

prayers to him and his family and hopefully he and mlse can absorb the financial hit and remain solvent🙏🏿

Congrats on achieving a rare feat in getting strike 1 and 2 in a single post. And yes, this is 100% based on your historical posting in the Leaf Blog comment section.

Trade Marner for Tkachuk

Tuffness

- Santo_44

To be fair, Tkachuk has more goals and points than Marner and in fewer games. He's also making 1.5M~ less and is signed through 29/30.

So yeah, that doesn't sound like a bad deal at all if it were to happen.

10pts in 12gp last year. Marner had 8pts in 7gp but had 3 very mediocre years preceding that. Small sample sizes, meh.

To wit: I'm not sure I understand what the downside would be in a MT for MM trade (not that it would ever happen).

How much is Mitch going to re-sign for? Scary to think about...

Still breathing ...nice.

I'm just tossing his name out there for the fans that don't want to pay the prices on Horvat, RoR, Larkin, Kane ....if they're even moved. I think all those guys will require Knies to be part of the package.

Perron, assuming he's healthy, is a nice option in that second tier. Definitely some other guys too. The trade off is cap space for next year.

BUT at 4.75M, they've got space for Perron and to re-sign Bunting if they wanted ...I think.

I’d play Knies with JT before trading him for a few months of any of those guys.

That was a Nylander problem. If you're talking the goal.
- Aaron_85

Holl turns the puck over twice and it's the only reason the play is still in the Leafs end. Bill Ny blows the zone way too early and Rielly tries to cover up for it. Puck goes low and Holl does the exact opposite of playing defense in front of the net.

But yeah, (frank) Rielly.

Holl has been good.

Can't complain about him or Reilly.

Reilly will figure it out, its just his turn to be the scapegoat.

I'll admit, I did not watch the game last night. But this is pretty rich coming from a Bruins fan.

Nobody posts about all the times Rielly makes a first pass out of the defensive zone or carries the puck through the neutral zone.

When Willy Styles threaded that seam pass and Marner had the open net and shot it into the net past the diving goalie that was deeply gratifying.

The refs missed a blindside head shot in open ice against Kampf earlier on the game, and only called a penalty when Rielly was bleeding from a stick to the face.

Let's put it this way: FLA wouldn't make this hypothetical (and never going to happen) trade.

Nope.

Willie didn’t leave the zone at all. That was Engvall (and Bunting in a different way). Willie was the only guy in the blue paint trying to check Forsberg.

Holl blocks a shot, it goes into the corner, Rielly and a Pred fight for it, the puck goes out to the point, Bunting tries to get it and misses but leaves the zone, Engvall leaves with him.

That leaves Rielly, Willie and Holl. Rielly goes for the guy with puck between the blue line and the circle, isn’t able to get, he passes to Forsberg who scores.

I don't like the idea of moving Knies but it depends on how important Dubas views the 23' playoff run.

If Knies is untouchable then I think we're likely out on the big 4-5 names b/c I imagine some team will be motivated enough to move something big.

I float Perron b/c he's had some elite level playoff performances in recent years and you should be able to snag him for a 1st or maybe less.
