You know for years and years and years of NHL hockey, sometimes a game gets away from a team. Saturday is evidence. I know that without looking charts, I’m a genius

11-2-2 last 15 games. They beat the Canes, Isles, Devils, Avs, Vegas and Leafs in those 11. You try to make things terrible regarding the NYR when they really aren’t 🤷🏻‍♂️

Here is the shot map, for an against when leading/trailing by X amount of goals. Seems to me it's a system problem.

They really should fire him and hire Fred Shero. A dead guy couldn’t do any worse

Not sure what Fredo Shero has to do with the 2022/23 Rangers. Didn't he last coach in like 70's.

He’d be better than Gallant. That’s how bad Gallant is

You seem to be taking this data well, considering the only mention of Gallant only is put forth by yourself. They are just numbers. I read 'em, I post 'em.

Interestingly enough the first 12-15 games the rangers had good advanced stats but couldn't score or outgoalie anyone. They have fallen off since, but won games. Not sure what to make of them or the season

It’s exactly how we were last season pre deadline. poopty analytics, won anyway. Shesty, PP, good bounces and clutch play came together in perfect harmony for us. Somehow it lasted through March

It is a system problem. The Rangers for years, now decades, have had their goalie be the hardest working player on the ice. Doesn't have to be that way. System issue handed down from coach to coach. Could this be an organizational philosophy? Maybe. Where is link broken?

Here we are 10 games over .500, a season removed from an ECF and we’re comparing ourselves to the Lindros /Fleury years and people wonder why I’m a dyck

Who is "we"? It's you and Tom. You play an equal role in allowing the blog to go here. Look inward, not just Tomward. Most of us want to be able to discuss both good and bad without being categorized as miserable twats

Deep down you agree with him

I’m a glass half full guy, I apologize. And I’m definitely not miserable about the Rangers

And I do that on a game by game basis. Thought they played well vs Montreal. Vs they Devils, they didn't.

Torts and AV had defined systems. Flawed ones, but the team did have an identity. GG is not an awful coach, but he does not really have any structure or system. At least not one that fits the players on this team. Not calling for his firing just pointing out the obvious facts.

he won the canes imo. Crucial win too. That was a much different game after everyone was making fun of him for writing down notes, second and third periods

Was the Devils not their most recent game? They don't play until tomorrow. I think talking about the game vs the Devils very much still on topic.
