I would take the bills at -13 even is case is our starting qb |

I think bottom six and defense get a make over. Goaltending? 50/50. The market is so hard to predict - Michael Ghofrani
Need to see the 2nd half to make a call on goalies, but please no Anderson. Just makes a mess of things, even when he's playing well.

Gotta wonder if the Bills get ahead enough, they start resting players..... both sides of the ball
2 touchdowns is tough to make up |

They'd wind up losing everyone they worked so hard to bring back, including the players.
Came up with a mock lineup the other day that shook out to roughly 70.5 mil. Which is only 3 mil more than their current expenditure and it involved a notable change at goaltending, D and the bottom six.
I think we'll see changes, I just can't guarantee we'll like all of them lol. - Michael Ghofrani
Are you holding out on us or are you going to share the mock lineup you referenced above? |

Hyde isn't playing this week - joevthree
Which is fine.
I just feel like his neck injury……. It’s either strong enough to play or not. No in between.
Unlike other injuries that player rehab |

Nah he's playing once every 10 days now. This is his last year.
The more interesting bit is whether Luukkonen can shoulder 50+ games a year. If he can't , they may need to move Comrie out of necessity. |

It’s funny, the media will say this is basically a bye for the Bills, we very well could end up with key injuries.

Oh i didnt save it or anything like that but notably:
Engvall, Jensen as UFA's. Patrick Brown, Ryan Murray and Kuhlman for depth.
Cozens 7x7
Trades: VO for pick, picks and prospects for Demko. I didnt attach any names to it, just wanted to see what the final number would be for overall team cap hit. |

Panthers claim fitzgerald - Michael Ghofrani
Do they owe us future considerations? Getting hard to remember with so many. If they waive him in the next couple weeks, I'd get a good laugh.

Not to my knowledge but who knows. Would be hilarious. I just assume Tom Fitzgerald has something on everyone in the league. |

Darn. That grit will not be missed.
I will miss his dumb penalties, subpar passing, and poor hockey IQ.
Oh way. We still also he Lybuskin.

No suprise.
Sabres didnt want to expose him. They seem to have a good grasp on players currently. I'm Mildly disappointed. |

If Cozens ends the season at 30 goals and 50 assists, would he take the Tage deal, or would he expect more?
No Severson as a potential UFA addition? |

Maybe a little more, but Hischier had 101 points in 156 games when he signed his deal, which came out 8.9% of the cap. The 2023 equivelant would be ~7.4 mil.
At the pace you described, Cozens would finish with 131 pts in 200 games. It's possible he could get more than Tage, but it won't be by much.
I like Severson, just thought Jensen was more cost effective, which was what I was trying for. |

With the cap expected go up greatly in the next 2 to 3 seasons, I could see Cozens expecting more to maybe a good bit more on a full term deal, else a bridge deal is what he'd want, ala Dahlin, to sign his giant deal when the cap is $90M+ |

I'm predicting cozens takes an identical deal to tage.
7 for 50 million.
Very vibey |

I don't think it's going to go up as much as people have been saying. But even then, if we apply the upper end of Cozens comparable (hischier) to a potential 87 mil cap, thats 7.7 mil. And even if Cozens maintains his pace, he doesn't have the same pedigree Hischier had.

I would be fine with that. Have our two top centers locked up. Get Dahlin signed longterm. Would be great bones to a new core |

Decisions Decisions Decisions caught up a bit quicker to the Sabres than expected. Gonna be fun to see what Decisions are made over the next 7 or 8 months that could really set the tone for the next few seasons. |
