I think its a bit panic like to suggest that neither one of those two will be ready for a top six role. Its a lot like what we heard about Cozens. Theyre going through predictable struggles at their age and the fatigue is starting to creep in.

Rotating one or both in and out again doesn't look like a terrible idea..

Would like Donnie to shuffle the lines up a bit (other than the Tage line for obvious reasons) see what Cozens can do with Mitts and Olof, or Asplund and Olof, Krebs with the rookies, try some new things out.

That best offense is driven mainly by one line. The Cozens-Quinn-Peterka line has had some really nice nights, but they also have nights where they're a liability. If healthy scratches are even a consideration, let alone a reality, there are still issues. The other two lines are worthless. You can upgrade there without disrupting anything.

Idk if Hornqvist is any closer to returning from concussion issues. Who knows if he comes back this (regular) season (*Jim Mora gif*)
Heard a rumor that Duclair’s recovery isn’t going as fast as hoped, idk if there’s any truth to that or not.
Regardless, I don’t think Zito trades any one away this year. They have $10 million in cap opening up this summer to address some needs. They’re not giving up on this season yet, for one thing that would really derail all of the work done building a buzz around this team (same old Panthers). They could make a run to a playoff spot, and this year especially Zito will fight for playoffs through the end of season. Habs hold their 1st round pick (unprotected 🤭) this year, he will look like a total fool if that becomes a high pick. Zito won’t be trading guys away for futures.
