Eric Comrie is in goal tonight, per Don Granato. Ukko-Pekka Luukkone is sick. Vinnie Hinostroza and Rasmus Asplund are in for JJ Peterka and Jack Quinn. Henri Jokiharju is in for Jacob Bryson. #Sabres

Can you say showcasing?

Also Bryson out and Clague stays in

Kind of figured one of Jack and JJ were going to see the press box soon. They've been underwhelming for a couple of weeks now.

Comrie?

I just don’t see how they can only carry UPL and Anderson. If UPL were to get injured we’re gonna ride Subban?

- sbroads24

Both Asplund and Vinnie in

I think that’s Mittelstadt’s fault. Not sure how it is, but it is

Wonder if it's even possible for one of his vets to earn a night off.

Okposo's had some no? Bryson getting the press box was a (nice) surprise. Does he count as a vet?

Bryson was in the press box earlier this season.

It's not really a surprise.

Okposo could probably use some rest nights, but I think he's been hurt when he's been out.

Bryson is the 1st substantial lineup change. Don't think I'd call him a vet, but glad to see it. Think that one was so overwhelming they no longer had a choice. Still find it an encouraging sign.

With Allen’s arm and ability to throw downfield it’s honestly amazing that they’ve been incapable of getting a true deep threat on the field
- sbroads24

Most teams are playing 2 & 3 deep zone schemes against us
Taking away the big plays & forcing the ball underneath

Same thing they did to slow down KC last year
And also to Cinci this year
They haven’t been hitting deep passes like they were last year either

You notice these things when u watch the games,
as opposed to just looking at the stat sheet

Brown is 32 and has 1 catch this year.

And I disagree it’s over for deep threats type receivers

They should hopefully have Shakir as the full time slot, draft a guy in round 1 or 2 to be the future #2 and get a guy who’s a burner as their #4

- sbroads24

So now Davis & McKenzie can’t even be our #4 ?

I can’t remember him being a healthy scratch. Only the injuries

I think we’ll see more rest for okposo in the second half. Especially if they don’t plan on moving hinostroza or asplund.

I think it would help. Donnie frustrates me in a few ways. Trying to be patient with him, he's still new to this.

Every coach is going to have a few of these. As of now, the positives outweigh the negatives, so I can live with it.

The only thing he should be showcasing for is his rocket trip to the sun.

Really needs to find a way to get the middle 6 going.

In my opinion, I would have taken Beniers over Power.

Gotta be showcasing Hino and Asplund. Good move waiving Fitzpatrick to qualify UPL

Easy to say now. You might change your tune in 2,3 years. Defense is hard to walk into in the NHL. Power will be a top 10 one day

I won't and it's not easy to say it now because I said it on draft day.

This is gonna far just as gracefully as those saying we should’ve taken Svechnikov over Dahlin

Power is a rookie
Took Dahlin 3+ years to turn into a stud
Give the kid some time
