Anderson sounds like a great guy, and a great story, but I hated bringing him back for two reasons. The first was that it allowed them to not really have address the goaltender position. The second was that Luukonen got sent down despite being the best goaltender in training camp, and now they're in a spot where they have to play musical chairs with the roster in order to keep 3 goaltenders. Now, I am not going to be a victim of revisionist history, and ignore the rough start Luukonen had when Comrie went down, but he's still the best goaltender they have, and they should have treated him like that from Day One this year. - buffalofan19
Well said. Time for the next phase, where moves aren't all easy and nice.
Do you seriously want to question his play this season? Go game by game and look at his numbers. Please stop. He's been our best goalie by a mile. - lacaprup
This is a joke right? 40-50 assists? How many guys in the league get that every season, seriously? - BeadyEyedDouche

No, not at all. Easy one to find. High end playmaker, never averaged more than 15-20 goals but 35 -50 assist in reach. You can go find more on him, but his high- end playmaking is his calling card. No joke at all!

Anderson has been very good for us. That said, you can't compare his games with what UPL has put together in the last 3 weeks against top teams. Its not even close.
I agree with all of that. You can't say that he has to do it in one start, or else.... - Slump Buster
I don't mean he needs a shut out or even needs to win the game but he has to play unmistakably well or he's gonna see the bench for a little while. Unless, of course, another goalie gets hurt or they all poop the bed.
For starters this defense is terrible...get the puck in on the goalie and they can't clear the front of the net besides just tie the guy up. How many of the 9 goals against vs Minn and Phi were scored in tight? They have gotten 3 goals from the D after Dahlin's 12. The D has not helped on offense at all. If I never see Bryson in a Sabres uniform can't happen soon enough. Joker is an upgrade over Cleague for sure but becoming brittle so maybe it's time for him to go..
I think it's time to break up the 2nd line...it's going on a month since we've seen a goal from Quinn/Peterka. Move Olofsson up and Quinn down to the third line. If the top line doesn't score this team is in trouble.
Finally when is the BS artist known as our GM going to make a hockey trade to help his youngsters out. The team can not be entirely built off the draft. This team needs some size and toughness for starters. Why wait to March when it may be to late. The only hockey trade he has made was the Eichel trade which was forced on him. Hall played them big time and again another forced trade.
In writing this, it isn't about losing last night but it's about the rest of the season. I don't think it's enough to just have an exiting team and think we the fans should be satisfied with it. They are close to a wild card spot at the very least and the team and the fans deserve better...it's been a long drink since we are this close at the midpoint of the season that management should be satisfied and expect we the fans to be happy.
