Not saying to start him.

Anderson let in 2 stinky goals. IMO both were his fault as he should have made the save on both.

After the 3rd one he should have been pulled as there was no life in anyone on that bench besides Krebs and he cant put a biscuit in an ocean sized basket.

- DirtyDan

Anderson could have let in only one goal that he had no chance on and it wouldn't have mattered...

Regardless they were due for a let down. It wouldn't have mattered who played net, when the highest scoring team in the league gets shutout it is just not your night. I think Granato handled it well, the emotions over the last week in Buffalo were hard on everyone. They clearly were bad yesterday. Young teams do that. It is up to the vets to make sure it was just a one game stink.

If they have another stinker it could snowball. Hopefully they come out flying tonight.

Completely agree,

Emotions play such a big role in sports, especially hockey.

The wild game was like a playoff atmosphere Saturday.
Tough to bring that same intensity.

Girgs and okposo gonna set the tone tonight

You think if he makes those saves we're talking about the same game?

Whole game changes if he makes those saves.

He mainly plays with power from what I’ve noticed
- Sabretooth9

And has been good with him, unfortunately both those goals scored were on Power kinda last night.

I am happy with Power

But the people who have been singing his praises this year have been overzealous to say the least…

It’s clear that we need a middle-6 F upgrade and a top-4 D upgrade.

Krebs, Lybs, Fitz, these guys plus picks should be on their way out for some established NHL players.

Don’t worry about the draft this year.

Hell, I might try to swing a huge trade with San Jose. Go for it. They have like half a dozen players I would be “happy” with.

- BeadyEyedDouche

Listen, I think Krebs is a solid bottom 6 player, but thank god Tuch is as good as he is. Because Krebs looks like he will be lucky to cross the 10 goal/30 point threshold down the road. His skill level is not what I thought it was

For me its just a matter of we need to play to our future which is comrie and UPL for many years to come. I thank all that Andy has done but UPL did what UPL needed to do in earning his place in the NHL. Personally Andy should get "injured" and go hang out with his family. He has earned that.

Krebs is easily one of the first guys i see the second wave of prospects coming in to replace.

Tough call on pulling the goalie. Andy let in a few terrible goals, but from a coaching stand point, maybe the highest team in the league bails him out?

Instead of him sitting on a pull for another week or so.

Don't know what people expect from Krebs. He was never gonna be a big goal scorer. Give him some real linemates and let him be that 40-50 assist guy he is meant to be.

What has Comrie done to displace anyone? His contract is nothing and should have zero bearing on anything. Keep playing Anderson on his regular schedule; keep playing UPL regularly; keep hiding Comrie via paper transactions.

He's 42 he should be able to live with his mistakes if he's pulled. He's not a young kid.

You play to win and pulling the goalie tells your team to wake up. But obviously Donnie/KA aren't playing to win as we have a # of guys who aren't getting replaced cause "vibes"

Hes 40 years old what is the point of playing him?
Comrie played when we were playing our worst hockey. Hes better long term that Andy plain and simple

Strange wording on "earned"

Hasn't andy earned his spot in the lineup? Guys played really good this year. He's mentoring 2 young inexperienced goalies. Possibly our future.

He puts in more work then anyone on the team.

What makes you think he's gonna take the easy way out for the team? Take an injury designation and hang them up on that note?

Your post makes as much sense as someone suggesting he become a coach.
Actually your post makes slightly more sense, he would want to join his kids in florida.

Maybe he should have, but the whole team was off. Don't think pulling your goalie was changing that last night.

I would rather work on the long term goals of the organization not for the next 5 months alone.

It’s just more overreaction theatre from him
He did this crap with Reinhart & others

Krebs is 21 ffs
He has PLENTY of time to develop into the player he will ultimately be for us

I have rarely seen any goalie, ever, pulled at 2 goals. So, you want to pull him at 3 - 0? OK, but it's not changing a thing in the game at that point. Philly's goalie was never giving up 3 for us to get back to a tie, and that's being nice and saying Philly doesn't score number 4.

If Andy was to have a bad game and I could choose which one, it would be the one where my offense put 0 goals. Last night sucks in that 2 points got away, and our young team showed they weren't ready to put a big win by and turn the page (just like against Boston then Ottawa). But I don't think Andy is all of the sudden a worse option for one game than either Comrie or UPL.

Feelings and vibes.

Can’t pull Grandpa.

Again I think it has to do with knowing you have a goalie who can’t play very much as is and if you pull him it’s a waste.

It’s going to becom a problem, IMO. The Sabres next 3 months are very busy.

I think some posters thought krebs was the main piece in the eichel trade. When the main piece was tuch. The actual proven nhl player.

Krebs value is inflated in their minds.

For me, he was the final piece required to make the deal.
Of course the guy from the buffalo area was the #1 priority.
If he does well great, but Krebs wasnt the main guy

Andy gives us a better chance to win any game they play. Comrie is a nobody. I couldn't care less if he's here next season. There will be a half dozen Erik Comries available this offseason. There always are. The evidence says Comrie is our worst of three options in net on any given night in 2023. He's a desperation start only unless UPL or Andy really fall off a cliff.
