Sabres are soft in front of there net on most nights. They need to clean up the D zone. Go along way into helping win games - Buff36

10000% agree. The only reason I want him to play is the “I am a Gummy bear” goal song |

Bryson and Clague Cough cough - Sabretooth9
I don't mind Clague, give him a proper partner. See what Joker does when he comes back. Get a 2RD and drop Joker to 3RD. See if Clague Joker can become that 3rd pair. They need to do something because it looks like Power and Samuelsson are wearing down. Both making a lot of mental mistakes. |

My 32 thots from last night.
Anderson should never play a playoff game again.. not sure who said they'd want him starting if we made the p-offs but that's a terrible idea. He cost us that game from the start.
Bryson shouldn't be in the NHL. Especially as a d-man.
Thought Power was their best defenseman. He twists and turns away from guys like hes Patty Kane back there. Made some nice plays in his own end.
Sit Peterka and Quinn tonight. Asplund and Hino could add some jump they were very much lacking last night. Never seen this team look so slow.
Mitts and Olof regressed back to their natural state. They stink when not on the PP.
Torts paid those refs handsomely last night. |

Goal #3
Dylan Cozens and Owen Power would like that one back.
Power, in fact, looks like he got into my weed stash and was just drifting around. Dahlin would have laid a bonechushing hit on TK who caught Cozens' pass. He was dead to rights and Power gave him an old fashioned as he skated in for the first chance on Andy. - lacaprup
He got stuck out there way to long, Cozens should of had that puck out twice. It was on him.

I suggested Anderson over Comrie and upl for game 1 vs the Bruins. He's been solid all season, just a bad outing.
I also wonder if they sit the kids and get some fresh faces vs the phil mckracken tonight. Good point .
Lots of games in a short period of time.
Thing is, they weren't at fault last night ..... |

I like Andy, but this is my concern with him. If the Sabres have a bad outing like last night or Andy has a bad go and gets pulled, you can’t put him back out there the next night because he still needs time to recover and puts more stress on UPL and Comrie.
It really puts the team in a bind having a goalie who can only play once every 5-7 days.

That's a good point in regards to Anderson.
Tough to pull him and expect another game anytime soon.
Were almost half way thru the season, and it's really andy's first stinker. He's gonna bounce back IMO.
Some teams start the starters 60+ games a season.
Comrie for example, played roughly a game a week backing up hellybuck last season. |

We should be rotating 3 goalies for the rest of the year. UPL and Comrie play as 1A/1B
And then rotate Andy(1C) in when UPL needs a night off.
Let Comrie sit on the bench |

I could not believe how slow they looked last night. Legs were moving at some points but the players weren't going anywhere lol.
Should be some rotations all over the lineup over this grueling stretch of games.

Comrie had to be taken off IR and activated yesterday
UPL moving down was a paper move to save the roster spot |

Then why was Comrie on the bench if he wasn't good to go? Just leave him on IR if he can't play |

Regardless they were due for a let down. It wouldn't have mattered who played net, when the highest scoring team in the league gets shutout it is just not your night. I think Granato handled it well, the emotions over the last week in Buffalo were hard on everyone. They clearly were bad yesterday. Young teams do that. It is up to the vets to make sure it was just a one game stink.
If they have another stinker it could snowball. Hopefully they come out flying tonight.

Not saying to start him.
Anderson let in 2 stinky goals. IMO both were his fault as he should have made the save on both.
After the 3rd one he should have been pulled as there was no life in anyone on that bench besides Krebs and he cant put a biscuit in an ocean sized basket. |

Should have taken Beniers 1st overall - RichardRoma
I am happy with Power
But the people who have been singing his praises this year have been overzealous to say the least…
It’s clear that we need a middle-6 F upgrade and a top-4 D upgrade.
Krebs, Lybs, Fitz, these guys plus picks should be on their way out for some established NHL players.
Don’t worry about the draft this year.
Hell, I might try to swing a huge trade with San Jose. Go for it. They have like half a dozen players I would be “happy” with. |
