The Raiders light up the 49ers and then make the Chiefs defense looks like the 2000 Ravens. Unreal. - buffalofan19
It’s week 17 or 18. What ever it is. Teams out check out |

Life without a QB. The NFL is a scary place when you ain't got one. |

I agree with this to a large extent but he's outplaying Fitzgerald to this point. The problem is they would have to waive two guys to make room for Joker and Comrie.
No way they waive 2 d men because that would leave them without an extra D.
I also have a hard time believing they would waive Asplund because they protected him in the expansion draft. Hinostroza would be easier but I think Donnie really values his work ethic and they're paying him $1.7m on a one-way deal.
No simple answer here unless someone goes on IR this week - Hank Balling
They don't have depth in net or D, and are injury prone at both. Hell of a situation the created for themselves.

Fitzgerald, Bryson, or Clauge. None of those D are good enough to get claimed.
The great Larry pilut made it to roch just fine |

There's always a risk. Someone else is always dealing with injuries.
Waivers are as much about timing as being good, but Clague is also playing well. |

If Fitz were to be claimed on waivers the Sabres would more than likely be able to claim him back at some point.

They don't?
They have a ton of bottom-pairing guys on defense and three guys in net for two spots |

Anyone see that Rex Ryan clip?
Can’t hate on the guy for not being able to get us over the hump.
pretty endearing segment |

I mean it really should be pretty simple
Hinostroza and Fitz should be gone.
Neither fit in this lineup like Clague and Asplund could with injuries - sbroads24
I'd be fine with it if that's what they do but I get the sense Granato really likes Hinostroza, plus they're paying him a good amount of money on a one-way deal. |

Spectrum....just awful. MSG stops working like clockwork the last three Sabres games. (frank) them. Awful broadcast partner. |

Want to count how many D and G's they've used the last few seasons?
Almost ran out of D a month ago. Believe Laaksonen was the last healthy D under contract.
You know the injury history of these G's. Always a bad week from signing Houser.

I get that. Jokiharju is about to come back though and then they will have 4 guys for one spot (fitz, clague, Bryson and pilut). They have plenty of bottom-pairing/tweener depth imo |

What gives you that sense? He’s played like once over the last 12 games or so. |

Vinnie is a high-motor guy who Granato uses as an alternative when a regular roster player takes his foot off the gas. He's a motivational tool. They've been going well the past two weeks so they haven't needed him.
Maybe I'm wrong, though, and Granato views him as expendable |

My feelings on him aside, if they choose Vinny’s feelings and a 14th FWD over potentially UPL winning games then we know they still arent a serious team and that would be a shame.
UPL looks like a poised NHL goalie. Going to the AHL is a slap in the face |

He's likely to get 3/4 games this week and those games will go a long way in determining what they do by Saturday. If he's a .910 or better goalie with two wins over that stretch, then yeah, I think they'll work something else out |
