That's how many goals we scored on the losing streak. The myths of Mattias Samuelsson are like Kiko Alonso. We gave up a slew, but we give up a slew almost every game.

Looks like 4 points for the (2) 4 goal games and probably a point (2) each for the games they scored 3 goals.

That's 6 points.
God forbid a goalie get a shutout on occasion.

Comrie blows, he should be waiting 2 deep in the nachos line with Elmer tweener asplund.

But, let's get rid of proven vet. 😀😀😀

Imagine starting game 2 at boston , who you starting Anderson or comrie 🙄

Also, let me add the notion of displacing Craig Anderson in any way for Eric Comrie is as dumb as the day is long. Anderson is as steady as Old Faithful. Who the hell doesn't want a guranteed 915% once a week? I know all we have to do is score 3 tonight. As good as UPL has been. Can we ever really say that?

Andy has my faith, and he should have yours. A fake injury for a guy who plays great every time. You guys should lay off the booze and smoke a little dope.

Apples and oranges. If you are getting trucked every night then you aren't going to score goals. 23 being out was important because we fell below having 3 competent defensemen dressing every night. It was like a shooting gallery out there. Now that 23 is back we have 3 good D (and we are playing the hell out of them, unfortunately).

I am not at all saying that we should toss Anderson over the side. My point is that if we decide to toss a goalie over the side in favor of keeping another crappy player (which I am not at all advocating) it can't be Comrie. Anderson has been amazing and we are deeply indebted to him for how well he has played.... but he isn't going to be here next year. He has zero shot of being here when we are the real deal. I hope that we can find a way to make it work so that he stays.

the easy move is the wrong move which is sending 6k back to rochester so they do not loose fitz, asplund or vinny to waivers

Now, this is a useful bit of graphics. His shot has gotten to Ovechkin/Pasta level. His power moves to the net are his own. No one in hockey matches them right now. McDavid has his own speed based moves that are, again, his own. Special, special, special

then you add in his reach and ability to get around an outstretched goalie.. he uses that size greatly to his advantage.

Yeah, I said power move, but immediately thought it's more about his size than "power." though it's traditional to call those moves to the net power moves. He's a freak. I just wish he would change his goal song to TNT...obviously.

I understand what your saying, and we agree to disagree.

Comrie isn't anything to worry about IMO.

Just an ahl tweener plug. I definitely wouldnt feel comfortable starting him vs the Bruins in a playoff game.

Anderson, I'd be excited about him starting a playoff game.

He absolutely has the potential to be the best goal scorer in the league. His size and ability to use his size paired with his hands, feet, and shot make him (at least for now) in consoderation for the best in the league, thus far this year

he is only 2 behind McJesus for goal scoring lead.. McJesus is destroying the league in points though

If we've learned anything over the last 3 years it is that you don't give up on prospects before you know what you've got. We have no idea what we have in Comrie. There are lots of reasons to think that he might be a good goalie. Everyone is looking for good goalies.

Look at it another way. If we don't find out about him now then we are going through the same process next year with another guy. And as we see throughout the league, just because a guy is good in one place doesn't mean he will be good in another.

That chart shows how much goal scoring he is doing above expected.

Surprised you are good with a chart that is based on expected statistics.

he is, but part of the reason is that they are leaning so heavily on the top 2 lines. I wonder if he asks out if things don't improve.

He also hasn't played when this team is HAWT.

Could be a 1B guy could just be a solid backup, could be neither.

would suck to see him claimed and then play well somewhere else and then we need some new guy to play 1b/backup next year with UPL

I don't think they waive him and frankly I wouldn't either.

Remember last season? 7 different starting goalies or something like that?

They don't know what they have in Comrie. He could be a dime a dozen goalie, or he could really push UPL to get the best out of him.

He stood on his head and stole a game in Edmonton to start the season, then the blue line fell apart and so did he.
