Sabres fans are funny:

The Sabres have literally the most goals for and best offense in the nhl

And people are still crying about mitts and olofsson. It’s hilarious.

I freaking hate olofsson and I would not trade him right now.

Keep the number 1 offense together.

If you trade olofsson or mitts or both. You completely kill the offensive depth. The Sabres roll 4 lines. Who are you replacing them with??

Kulich, Rosen aren’t NHL ready. They are having nice seasons in roch but they aren’t having JJ and Quinn type production. (Not saying Kulich and Rosen are bad)

Krebs. Don’t make him carry the load yet of centering his own line with rookies.

The lack of common sense is hilarious.

- Sabretooth9

Funny you say the Sabres have scored the most goals, well Olofsson was basically absent from that for 2 months. And for awhile there the Sabres were basically rolling 3 lines and sprinkling in a 4th line. And if they do trade Olofsson I would have no problem putting Kulich on the Wing. He isn't far behind JJ from last year in less games at this point production wise. I don't see screw up are offensive depth, we were basically carried by 2 lines for a month and a half.

casey and olofsson are the 2 most frustrating sabres to watch

if they were more consistent people would be open to them sticking around long term

There’s ppl here (especially) who have been clamoring to bring up kids from Rochester
And some who are saying they’d trade Mitts & Olofsson for anything we could get

Trading either Mitts of Olofsson would be “ok” imo
But it’s gotta be for VALUE
Even if that means we have to add to them in order to upgrade

Shipping either out for (something like) a 3rd round pick would just be idiotic

- jdfitz77

Nobody said trade them for anything we can get. Seen people say there value might not be very high.

No, keep Krebs here. He finally had gotten his game up to NHL speed and you want to send him down.

You basically lose all progress he made.

Playing in a slower less skilled league won’t help him. Same goes with Quinn and JJ.

Bad take

- Sabretooth9

I would agree, you can't send him down when playing this well.

I don't see how anyone can predict as a certainty that he will "lose all progress he made". I obviously think the alternative is true. That he will not only not lose any of what he has learned but also that he will enhance his skills, including his leadership skills, in Rochester where he would be their premier player. But we are both entitled to our opinions.

And I do think it is a good idea as to Quinn and JJ since both have hit a wall. I would have made this proposal as to one or both of them before Krebs but they are on the same line together and are hopefully building some chemistry.

They deserve the criticism. Fantastic that Olofsson is on pace to score 30 goals. He did most of that work so far in the first month of the season. But let's discount the other 2 months he disappeared. Ignorance is praising a guy who scores every 5gms or so and does nothing in-between. Glad Olofsson helped last night and Mitts seems to have turned a corner which is great. But ignorance is forgetting about the 2 months of crap.
- Buff36

Nobody said olofsson has been consistent thru out the season.

I've continually said the opposite.

I think you're confused on what "ignorance " means

Agreed.

If Mitts can keep this level of play going the rest of the season I think everyone would be good with him sticking around. His draft status is still in people's minds IMO. He was a top 10 pick he should be more than a 3rd liner, but truth be told with how the draft goes, once you're out of the top 3 it becomes a crap shoot.

I'll take a 50 point season out of him. Also yesterday was one of his best games. He was really moving out there.

As for the goaltending yesterday both UPL and Fleury made saves they had no business making. But then let in a weaker goal. It was the most entertaining game I have watched since 06/07 when you knew no matter what they were going to comeback.

My biggest complaint on Tuch has been he is so big and so fast but he never really uses his body and finishes off a check. Well last night especially in OT he was p!ssed off and he was lowering the boom. If this team can make the playoffs that's the type of play they're going to need out of him.

This team is not perfect, we all know that. They need to find a partner for Power and figure out some things offensively but they're leading the league in scoring and Power and Dahlin are playing as well as we can imagine at this point. I know it's been said a few times but this team is giving off some serious 05/06 vibes...

Be interesting to see him build some chemistry with say Kulich Rousek. But he is playing well, be very surprised if he was the one sent down

You don't send down a young kid who has finally started to figure it out, who has earned the coaches trust to be out there in overtime. What sort of message does that send? It would ruin his confidence.

This isn't sending Tage down like they did 2 seasons ago, this would have been like sending Tage down in the middle of last season when he started his coming out party (obviously the points aren't on the same level) but that is something you just don't do.

There are several d men that can go on waivers and if they get claimed, they get claimed.

It’s very simple. Let’s say the NHL speed is 100 mph and fast

The AHL is much slower and less skilled. So going 65

Your bodies have a thing call muscle memory. Your body will gear down and get used to the slower pace

If you have ever played competitive hockey in your life. You will know what I am talking about.

Good post stripes.

Mitts doesnt need to be a top line player. Just be a 50 point 3rd liner
Both goalies were spectacular, considering they let in 11 goals total. Big saves, both ways.
Tuch was awesome in ot. Especially when they put the whistle away. He used his size to destroy a couple wild players
Best game I've been too in 15 years.
Definitely top 3 since I've had season tickets (8 years)

Wasn't just you boss, just answering your Post. And I am happy for Olofsson, hopefully this gives him some confidence to explode, it makes us a better team. But don't think it's ignorant for people to say he's played like sh!t for long periods, cause he has.

Didn't think about the line Krebs would fit in in Rochester. That would be another advantage of him going down. But I don't think they will necessarily do it either but it's an idea.

if keeping 3 goalies

1 d man and 1 forward will have to go down when joker is back
