I'd say that's pretty much a guarantee.
I'm guessing he makes ~100 pts in his 3rd season.

Speaking of 3rd season.

What the (frank) is going on with Lafrenière?

No guarantee but he’s 17 and breaking records of guys that were 19 when they set them.
- TurdFergeson

Which records? Not the point record for world junior tourneys. He’s only 4th on that behind Forsberg, Reichel, and Bure. Highly doubt he overcomes them since he’s still 3P behind Bure for 3rd.

Until he’s pro he hasn’t proved he can do it at that level. Odds are good but not guaranteed. He wouldn’t even be close to being the first guy that dominated junior but couldn’t produce in pro.

He’s only 5’10” tall, which is an inch taller than Nick Robertson… in junior that isn’t noticed but in the NHL it very much is.

Well I can only hope you give up on him too early and trade him to us.

I'm not as convinced for Kakko.

You’re kidding right? There has been tons of talk of him breaking almost all of the records. For individual tournament he’s only behind a couple guys and they were 19. For total points he’s passed Lindros who played as a 17, 18 and 19 year old. Imagine if Bedard plays another two tournaments?

As for his size; yes he’s not huge. You state he’s only an inch taller than Robertson. But he’s only an inch shorter than Crosby. And he’s 17. I grew 3 inches after 17. My son grew 4 inches between 16 and 18.

I’ll be shocked if he’s not a star.

He's not worth much now anyway, and Kakko is a keeper for sure.

Czech goaltender down.

Edit: How was that not goaltender interference? He just rammed the goaltender.

No, I’m not kidding he’s 4th. First is Forsberg who had only played 14 games in this tourney and Bedard is already in game 16.

As for Crosby an inch makes a significant difference when it comes to reach. Also if you plan to make a reference like that you better hope Bedard has a second liner behind him like Malkin or the opposition will be able to focus their D onto him more precisely.

Also I will go with averages. The majority of the public do not get taller after the age of 16, there’s the odd family (yours) who isn’t fully grown by the time they can drive a car but extremely far from the majority.

The kind of guy you don't pass on when you can draft him.

As I said those guys were all two years older when they set those records. Forsberg scored 31 as a 19 year old. All the top scorers were two years older than Bedard. He likely won’t play in his 19 year old season because he will be in the nhl.
