I never liked domi. (Not because of his dad. I am not that old)

But tage is a top 10 player if he keeps this up.

So blues trade > coyotes

Botterill got us Thompson
He was hired in 2017 & made the O’Reilly trade in the 2018 offseason

Botts is also responsible for the Skinner trade & re-signing

And he drafted Dahlin, & Samuelsson & Cozens & UPL

A LOT of the success we’re starting to have is bc of Botts

Ok thanks fact checker Fitz I was definitely not aware Tim Murray didn't trade for Tage Thompson

Sure it turned out great with Tallness. But when that trade went down at that time Domi was high on people's radar. Hell he had 72pts that year he was traded to Montreal.

Yesterday's wrong question on my calendar asked who the Sabres drafted from the RedWings with the first pick of the expansion draft. Of course, we took a player from the Bruins and not the Red Wings with our first pick, and that was Tom Webster.

Paul's sometimes correct Sabres calendar for 5 January 2023 fun "fact":

On January 5, 1976, Rick Martin had the first goal of the game and the last two goals of the game in the Sabres 4 - 2 win over the Canadiens.

This one is way too detailed, with too many moving parts to be correct IMO. I shall investigate.

Edit: They have it correct. Rico had the hatty with McNab assisting on two of them. Jacques Richard from Perrault was the other tally. Also of note in the game, Jerry King Kong Korab and Mario Tremblay had a tilt.

Current tally: 3 correct, 2 incorrect

Kulich is really raising the bar. Gonna be some teams calling on him. Would really like to see him and Rousek on Krebs Wings.
Kulich Krebs Rousek
Speed-Forecheck-200ft game-Scoring!! Could be a really fun line to watch.

Not with the way Kevyn Adams talks about Okposo and Z. If either one wants to be here next year, they will be.

Take note, the Boston, Ottawa, and Washington games the Krebs line was our second best line (though Cozens himself has still been excellent). Two of those three games were against playoff teams. I expect we're going to find the Krebs line stays decent to good for the rest of the season so long as they stay healthy. Now that we have decent goaltending, we're good enough and will make the playoffs IMO. I don't really want to touch the forwards unless you're telling me Horvat is coming in.

I'd love to see the defense for 5 games with Joker, but I can certainly take an upgrade there or even another 5/6.

At the end of the day, I'm not (frank)ing with the highest scoring offense in hockey unless it's for good reason. Horvat is a good reason. Another rookie is not.

Krebs game has improved, I think they have helped each other out there. But Krebs deserves a chance to play with better offensively gifted players.

Okposo is a 4-time 20 goal scorer including last year. I do not think Krebs would benefit by playing with younger players right now. He found his NHL game by playing a simple, chip and chase game that is always north south. A game Okposo and Z know how to play. Krebs has got a looong time yet in the NHL. No doubt he will play top 6 again at some point. Not now though.

I didn't say right now, it can't happen with the way the roster is. This would have to be after the TDL or next season. And highly doubt they would bring both Kulich and Rousek up at the same time this year, so more likely next year.

I agree Krebs deserves to play with more skilled offensive players. He sets up Okposo and Girgs all the time and they can’t finish

I didn't like it at first, but of course Donnie proves us idiots again.

Inserting Krebs into that role has greatly expanded his game. He's a young developmental NHL forward and living with our shutdown line for a year will only do his career some good. And it's showing.
