Keefe has never been afraid to change up lines often, it would be a nice tool to have ROR play C or LW when constructing lines for line matching on road games.

But you never know, maybe ROR demands a trade to be closer to more Timmie's drive thrus and we get a discount?

Trading away significant assets for a C to play 3rd line minutes or a different position doesn’t make a lot of sense as Plan A. Getting an offensive upgrade for Jarnrok on JT’s line and moving him back to the 3rd line and bumping Engvall to the 4th would make more sense.

I'd be okay with RoR. Most centers can swing to the wing. Tavares and RoR for important face offs would be good. Plus the leafs have learned to cycle more and RoR definitely could.

Sure but you’re in a bidding war with teams whose primary need is for a guy exactly like ROR. We’d end up paying a premium for someone who isn’t the best fit and who would be playing 3rd line minutes.

We always think we know what we need then playoffs come and its something completely different.

I think they also try and get a guy that is either signed or knows they have a good shot at re signing. Is ROR open to signing for cheaper? maybe and if he is I think that makes him more valuable to the Leafs.
