Why wouldn't we already look like that? If I was someone that was hungry I'd want to go to a team that was exactly like us, New Jersey, etc.

Not sure if 30-35 games erases the past 12 years.

Maybe someone notices that we play against all back up goalies?

Interesting.

If the price is right I’m open to trading Levi.

D pairs today:

D-S
Lubed Kale
Pilot-Fitz-Bry rotating

The org is quickly recognizing Kale's impact here. I don't think he's the one that hits waivers. It would be self sabotage. Org may lose the player and the player would be angry that his performance was not rewarded.

Goes for any player. But this proposal is stupid.

You want a great prospect, don't use an average one and a poopty pick to make an attempt.

Clague was played in the top 4 last time he was up too. He was still sent down to Rochester.

We'll see what happens, but I wouldn't be surprised if they send him to Rochester again. I expect them too.

I've liked a lot of how Don and Kevo have managed this lineup and team. But waiving him would be a farce.

Should be easy, but they love Fitz + Bryson. If they ever get healthy, someone is going to be waived. They could carry 8 D, but then we play the exact same game at F. At some point, you have to stop the evaluations and start to focus on winning.

"We want to be good" and 'letting any of those bottom 3 stay over him' would be contradictory.

To be mildly fair to the writer, he did say it wouldn't be a crap package like that. Beck is a stud who's on near a 100 point pace in the OHL right now. That said, I'm fairly confident that KA wouldn't part with him for a massive package right now, especially to a division rival.

Is Clague running out of waiver elligible status? I thought I read on here it was only a couple more games of elligibility.

If that is true, it changes their thinking from before. Could that be the reaason?

For a team looking for its own long term goalie, I'd imagine overpaying for Levi would be the only appropriate solution.

Agreed. You know how it goes though, teams fans making the trades rarely look at what the other side is up to or cares about. The writer claims Buf needs C and W help. Never mind that Buf selected 17 forwards in our last two drafts (This is not hyperbole btw, just counted).

He was waived after camp, so that made him exempt for 10 games or 30 days in the NHL. That's gone now.

Clague last cleared waivers in October, so the 30 day window is gone. He's also played 12 games, so the 10 game condition is gone as well.

He's definitely waiver eligible.

So, in other words when he was sent down before, he did not have to go through waivers?
