We need to have serious conversations with both Johnson and Portillo first to see their interest. If both say no hell offer them both. Not sure it gets it done because of they won’t sign in Buffalo not sure chicago would whirl their wing nut either.

Of the two, I think Portillo is far more likely to walk. I remain hopeful that Johnson signs.
Still, for each of these guys, one has to wonder why, with a path wide friggin open for both what exactly are they thinking...especially on a very exciting team with so much young skilled players in the pipeline to augment the roster for many years to come.

If their decision is to walk with all that in front if them, then so be it...it's a sign they wouldn't fit anyway.
