If Ryan Johnson isn't signing with Buffalo, then move him (and/or Portillo if he won't sign) while still valuable to another organization... part of a package to get a guy like Chychrun. If not him... and we want to insist on a rental, then Dumba from the Wild and send Mittelstadt their way as part of the deal.

We need to have serious conversations with both Johnson and Portillo first to see their interest. If both say no hell offer them both. Not sure it gets it done because of they won’t sign in Buffalo not sure chicago would whirl their wing nut either.

But 2nd should be in play.

Strange part about their D is the top 3 are Lefty, of course. Doesn't get mentioned as much, but the next 3 are all Righties.

A 3LD upgrade over Bryson might be the single biggest upgrade they could make, and it should be cheap to do so. They just need the will to move on from Bryson. Not sure they have it.
