I’m getting tired of watching crap hockey. - Cptmjl
We are in such desperate need of skill. Even though Wahlstrom has done little to earn confidence in five on five hockey, I don't understand why we don't use him in shootouts. |

More evidence that they lack guys with finishing ability. Where's Jeff Tambellini when you need him? - JohnScammo
Maybe they'll use Fasching next time |

Sorokin faced 46 shots, the team blocked 26 attempts and PP failed one attempt.
The score of this game doesn’t match the true game.
Isles are still playing on their heels.

I feel like I should be paid to watch this team lately. Zero urgency in their game. They are playing to hang on just about every game. Grow a set. That third period was embarrassing. I can’t wait till Beau and Bailey are no longer on this team. I’ll take my chances with Beau becoming a superstar. |

Not enough players putting in a full effort on any given night. Yes, the talent level isn’t there agreed but these guys meander through most games. I still think they are in a rut but the lack of effort and talent when compared to the rest of the division is glaring. |

Just a lack of energy and speed. Lots of pressure on the goalies and defense as well. Islanders have just not kept up with the teams around them improving. Adding just Chara, Parise, and Romanov in the last few years will not cut it unless you have a couple of internal options ready to break out and have an impact. |

I said it before and I'll say it again, I would take this being the worst season in isles history if it meant getting Bedard. This kid is Mcdavid like I mean hes the real deal and whoever gets him is going to be set. This isles team is slow and lacks skill in the worst way. Outside of Barzal, Nelson and Dobson who really has high end skill on this team? |

I have to agree Upstate. It would be worth it for Bedard. This team just does not seem to have the skill for a legit Cup run.

With this statement does LAM start unloading? It would be ball-zy, but this team is only a 1st round playoff team.
Start collecting futures and draft picks now. This 4th line has always been a trading chip so use it before it’s to late.

I understand we didn't draft him and he has developed more than probably anyone expected but the kid is unreal - Upstate_isles
I usually don’t get caught up with missed picks unless it’s a blatantly obvious reach off the board while simultaneously bypassing a clear blue chip. I honestly haven’t paid much attention to the last few drafts. Holmstrom seemed to be a bit of a reach when he was picked but whatever. NHL draft is a crap shoot for the most part. |

I cannot see Lou unloading players at this time. The NHL is in a bad spot with the Cap so I'm not even sure how many players the Islanders could move?

The draft is tough. I do not follow that closely unless the Isles have a top 5 pick. I thought passing Parise back in the day was bad. He seemed to be the popular pick for many at the time at that spot.

Yeah everyone forgets someone has to want said player. I don’t think the islanders have too many, if any, sought after players other then the ones we wouldn’t move. Factor in their contracts and term they become even less palatable. Like I said in an earlier post I believe this team is more in a rut then anything. They are underperforming across the board. Problem is you can’t keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. That to me inspires mediocrity from top to bottom. You can see it with this teams effort. |

Islanders are in a tough spot in terms of cleaning house. The team may be in a rut but I just do not see another long playoff run with the current team. This is not the same team that made the two long playoff runs and the circumstances are very different now.

Honest question, when in the past 4 years have you expected or said they would go on a long PO run with this slow non talented old team? |
