You get a 2-0 lead against this team in a building where you have a large amount of fans there, you cannot lose that game. |

I don’t like saying this but playing up and down to your opponent is usually on the coaching staff. Because, that’s what this team does. - potvin05
Not to mention often lacking fire and coming out slow |

This team needs more talent it's pretty obvious. Lous biggest move was trotz who played the only style they could win with |

This.
This is a bad, bad loss. I think losing Pelech is about as bad as it gets, but if you can’t hold this game down after starting off 2-0…you can’t blame Pelech’s injury on that. 2 regulation losses to this piece of poop team is unacceptable. |

Up 2 - 0 late in the first the momentum seemed to change when O'Brien gave Sorokin a snow shower and was otherwise throwing himself around, and no one responded. I kept looking for Martin to take him on, but it never happened. Other Coyotes like Crouse and Ritchie were emboldened as the 2nd period began, and for the most part the Isles offered little pushback. The Isles just didn't play with the same intensity after the 1st period. Games like this against crappy, but physical teams, show the Isles as a team that lacks physicality outside the 4th line. |

On a normal night, I might agree with this, but, really, if this team can't find it within themselves to get in the game after getting physically manhandled the way they did tonight, then that's on the players. I mean, start a fight or something. |

There are a few guys on this team that are painfully slow at this point. That hurts even more when a majority of your team isn't speedy in the first place. Then there are a few guys who get frequent flyer miles for being passengers. The reality is there's a lot wrong with this team, most of which HAD been masked with stellar goaltending. |

My concern on the lack of physicality is that it stems from a lack of intensity. There are guys who are in leadership roles with this team who seem awfully passive in nature and that tends to cause the team to go flat when the going gets rough. |

And they also had 3 comebacks down 2 goals in the 3rd to bail them out |

I'm not going to disagree, but they're pretty much the same team they've been for the past few years. They have it in them. The question is what changed? |

Lee doesn't seem right. In the past he showed leadership. Not seeing it lately. Bailey, forget it. Clutterbuck shows leadership, but he's been banged up lately. |

Lee looks painfully slow and even weak at times. He gets bumped off the puck with ease and just can't find space. I partially worry that this is just the post knee injury Lee we have and that's it. |

Agreed, Islanders were out hit last night 35 AZ to 23 NY.
On top of that 0 for 5 on PP, there’s your RIM SHOT.

I’ve always been a Martin fan but this game is the perfect depiction of exactly why it was time to move on from him and why he shouldn’t have been signed again. |
