The Expanse is possibly a top-3 Sci-fi show ever.

Halfway through season 2 and it just keeps getting better and better.

Everyone needs to watch this show now.

Also, Garth Meringhi’s Darkplace is the funniest show ever.

Right now a "popular parley" on the fanduel app is a Buffalo Sabres 60-minute win and over 5.5 goals. +300 triple up

The 5.5 goals is a laughable number that might be hit in the first period with these two teams. With Anderson in net, frankly, I don't think the Penguins are good enough for us anymore. Yes, I said it.

I put a hundred on this bet alone. If we take 4 points in the next two games we're going to hunt down a playoff spot.

Watching the game against Columbus, we were all aware of Tage and co pulling less minutes in the third. In fact, we mentioned in the previous blowout against San Jose how Dahlin and a few others took way less shifts at the end, so much so that Dahlin only had 20 minutes at the end of the game. I don't think anyone had a problem with it in either game. We need Tage and Dahlin every night from now till the end of the year. We have 3 and one half months to make up 6 points on 5 teams. Any chance we have to rest our two game breakers should be taken.

The much maligned, and often made fun of Leafs goaltending additions this season, through 33% of the season.

So far, they made the right moves and are yet again a top regular season team.

The Sabres were a NMC away from finding their #1 goalie while moving up from pick 16 to pick 7 in the same trade.

What could have been

I’m expecting a split with Pittsburgh this weekend.

It’s tough to beat a team twice in two nights.

Very much so, especially when the Pens are going to have a bad taste in their mouth from getting hammered tonight.

Give the Tage interview a listen. He's a mature man. His attitude is the same attitude ive heard other great athletes talk about: work ethic, work ethic, work ethic. It's no surprise these guys are always the one's who practice hardest. They love it the most. It's their favorite place to be.

Leading by example.

Five goals last night, and Tage Thompson back at early work prior to #Sabres practice downtown.

We're all expecting the Kid line to match against Sid, Rust, and Guentzel right? Cozens shut Sid down last time they matched. I think it was Cozens Peterka Vic that night on that line. (Cozens +3, Vic +2, Peterka +2; Crosby -4, Guentzel -4, Rust -4)

Could you give me some %'s on these college guys signing with buffalo and getting their feet wet this season.

Levi
Portillo
Johnson

- Boss34

We are all guessing. I'll guess soley based off of comments made at Training Camp, which I do realize these types of public comments carry risk of honesty vs saying what one thinks is the appropriate comment to make at the time in that setting...

°Levi - 95%, nothing is 100% until done

°Johnson - 75%, said very positive things about the org

°Portillo -10%, why he wouldn't want to compete in this organization that appears to have a pretty clear path to be a starter.

So would Asplund to Seattle for Borgen move the needle.
- Buff36

I don't see the value in that move. Sabres would then have 9 defensemen. Prior to the season and signing Loob I'd say pull that trigger.

This one is from The Tie Guy, thinks Asplund is being wasted here.

Think you are spot on with the first 2, I wouldn't even give Portillo 10%, but things change. Johnson knows there's a spot there, and he so smooth going from the Left side to the Right side, and the Sabres having No issues with sides, it could be top 4 in a couple years.

I don't necessarily disagree but if you're going to trade him at least stick Bryson with him and see if you can get a reliable bottom pairing LD

Seattle is playing well, why would they move a top 6 D?

Obviously Asplund is being wasted here, but he is a guy they need in the lineup now and in the future.

Imagine if the Sabres had a line that was some mix of players like Wennberg, Bjorkstrand, Burakovsky, and McCann, instead of the current 3rd line that hurts the team nightly.

What a world of difference that would make.
