He could be our “Drury”
Leadership
Can match up against other teams top lines
Scores goals
One of the best at faceoffs in the league
He won’t be cheap to trade for, and he won’t be cheap to extend, but he could be exactly what we need to anchor a good 2way line & give us a viable top9, instead of just a good top6
Horvat would be a great piece to add to completing this puzzle |

His shooting percentage heater is occurring at a great time for him, but a bad time for those looking to extend him.
He's got 8 power play goals already. Who would he be replacing on the top power play unit?
Curious what kind of deal in length and AAV it would take to get him to sign at 28 years old. |

Hovart is at $5.5 now.
Tage at $7.1
Cozens needs a new deal…
Okposos $6per comes off the books.
What would or could you allocate to the 3 centers.
Does krebs project as a wing? Or does he get sent in the deal?
Does Savoie project to the wing to start his career (Adam’s won’t deal him now).
I like the idea. I am not sure I’d like what we’d need to give up to get him and it’d almost have to be a sign and trade. I’d also like to know what he rejected.

True, it’s gonna cost to sign him
Just think the player checks a lot of boxes for us
If it costs too much to trade for him, or too much to sign him, then we should move along imo |

Those are all valid points
And i don’t have the answers to your questions obviously
But if things work out with the trade & extension,
I think he’d be a good fit & bring some things we’re lacking
Horvat, Tage & Cozens down the middle would give us one of the best Center groups in the league- & we have plenty of young talent to fill in the wings |

Oh it’s an extremely good fit. Really checks all the boxes. But lots of questions that would shape the long term of the team. Is Adam’s ready to make some of those decisions. Is Terry ready to sign off on them? |

Impossible to say
But I’d be down, as long as the price isn’t insane
Could Mitts or Olofsson be a piece in the deal?
How about Portillo or Ryan Johnson if they don’t wanna sign?
We have three 2nds this year, I’d give any of them
And besides Savoie (who i wouldn’t move),
we have plenty of other good prospects they could be interested in |

Yeah I am awful at valuations. Contract costs, trade costs…. We do have enough to make it happen. Do we have enough to fix 2rd and goalie as well? |

I think we have enough pieces for sure
Trades don’t happen nearly as much as fans want them to though |

Assuming a trade would hurt:
- 2024 1st (top 15 protected)
- Kulich
OR
- 2024 1st (top 10 protected)
- Isak Rosen or Ostlund
- 2023 Vegas 2nd |

It's surprising that it gets any mention at all. Top 2C's are looking set and you have 3 first round C's getting close to the NHL as 3C's. Great situation. Is that really where anyone sees KA spending assets and cap?
