Well, yes, if it came to that. That is a bit better, I don't know how you could say that it isn't.

The point is that none of this is tough-guy stuff. When someone disrespects your guy you have to put in an appearance in the scrum to show that you're part of the team. But that's all it is - it is just for appearances. You need not take a penalty yourself. You're not getting revenge or preventing something in the future.

Hell, I'd make the opposite point. If they would have stayed in their shoes and did the fake tough-guy stuff in the corner they could have come out of it with a pp. And as has been pointed out, you get your retribution another time. Nobody ever accused Skinner of being bright.
