Amerks lost 5-2, Rousek,Weissbach with goals. Biro had a couple of assists. Think they miss UPL

The things you guys choose to run with sometimes

Skinner cross checking Guentzel in the face is not the reason we will miss the playoffs, even if it’s by 1 point.

It is 100% on goaltending at this point.

To get mad at Skinner for anything this year is just nonsense.

- BeadyEyedDouche

I never said that was the lone point, and I know goaltending is a big cause. You have been playing decent hockey, climbing your way back from the losing streak. Come to a back to back with a team your chasing 6pts out of a spot and you just tied the game 25 seconds before that. It was a stupid penalty, especially when you could have taken care of it 24hrs later.

This is a really stupid take, even by your standards. So by your logic, anything that we did at that point was justified? I can't think of too many other games where a player has directly killed his team's chance to win. A five minute 4-on-3 PP in OT is a death sentence.

I stand with Beady. Jeff Skinner drew a line in the sand we have been begging for since Miller got run over. And people are crying about one point.

If I'm gonna lose I rather it be because we are smashing other teams faces in πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

So refreshing to be entertaining again. Even if we lose we are making teams work for it

None of this is within a zillion miles of that. What he didn't wasn't revenge for a heinous act committed against a teammate. He wasn't being tough at all. In fact, quite the opposite as it was a cheap shot. If he does that to Lucic after the Miller hit nobody has a problem. He cross checked a guy in the face during a scrum that happens multiple times during every game and cost his team a chance to win. That's isn't toughness, it is selfish.

If we weren't needlessly smashing people in the face we might not have lost

Yeah, exactly. I didn't see any congratulations on this act from his teammates or coach last night. It made me sick to see Tuch sitting in the box during OT instead of terrorizing Pittsburgh during 3-on-3. Hell, if I knew taking a minor swipe at the goalie's glove would result in a 5 minute PP for me I'd be doing it every game.

It's just stupid to think about it. On top of watchin the kids currently on the team grow into stars, we have another wave in Rochester. And then another wave beyond that as some of these guys picked outside of the first round sure look like they have a chance of hitting.

There is a time and place for making a statement. This was a bad time for that crap but it will be something to see how he backs it up the next meeting. He's either going to gain a lot of respect or change into his regular Casper routine.

Thought it was one of the best defensive performances this year. One bad shift that lead to a goal but overall, showed we can actually play team defense.
Krebs, Joker looked good. Mitts finally had a pulse.
Good point against a tough team who played a very good shutdown trap on 5v5, and completely shut us /Tage down on the PP. Will be a fun one tonight

Would have rather skated out with the 2pts and then he has all game Saturday for his retribution.

I don't know if it was so much of a masterful defensive performance as it was a demonstration on how having a killer forecheck will cover up defensive shortcomings. I think if there is one thing that they've cleaned up it is the cross-ice passes through the "house" in the lower slot. But yeah, they were definitely better in their own end.

It's really amazing the numbers they have coming up the line. Gonna get very interesting in a few years, especially with as young a team we already have.

"On this day in 2015 Rasmus Ristolainen records his first and the Sabres first hat trick by a defenseman in almost 28 years in a 4-3 loss to Calgary. Despite Risto's 3 third period goals, he still ends up a -2 on the day."

I miss the days of people saying "just one more year and he will be good" or "he is a legit pp qb".

When Buffalo skated, Pittsburgh couldn't keep up, Sabres stopped doing that in the 3rd.

I think they will be in the same situation that the Bills are in today. We are going to have to try to pay everyone and then find cheap labor to fill in the gaps. People don't want to talk about slotting contracts now, but you have to at least thing about the future.

Cause Anderson took a hack to his glove 2 seconds after the whistle, happens about 200 times a year to goalies in the NHL. Yeah heat of the moment, doesn't make it not Stupid. Showed balls cross checking someone in the face. Balls would have been dropping his gloves.

0.5 second since getting slashed in the ankle.
Skinner isn't a fighter. Don't want to get ctosschecked in the face from a pure reaction after slashing someone, then don't slash someone. "Slasher be ware".

We'll agree to disagree.

And we still need to clean up the blind drop passes. That shat does not work on teams like Penguins.

So when you saw the forecheck to the guy's face and the ensuing 5 minute death sentence, your reaction was "good"? Really?

You really think that is some kind of deterrent? If I can get my team a 5 min PP in OT by getting a stick to the melon I am making that trade all day long.

I hear you Buddy! Not gonna fight with You about it. Glad he stuck up for himself and Anderson just think it was a bad time to do it.
