Why?

Said team is buying 1 year of RFA, recent history tells us RFA means nothing in terms of dollars.

Players are paid what they are worth, he has arbitration too which means he gets paid what he is worth compared to other goalies regardless.

If he had another average season he wouldn't have any value...but this? He is looking at a 4-5M deal at this rate.

If this remains by TDL time you can feel pretty good dealing away a 1st knowing you are getting one back or at the very least a 2nd.

TIL: they've changed the way MLB does their schedules, so the Jays will play every team in the league (or both leagues, I guess) at least 3 times, and play their AL East opponents only 52 times.

Not so sure about this..It started a couple plays before when you could see Durzi cross checking him after a finished check..Durzi should of got a penalty before that.He kept it up against Engvall until the incident..Yes it was somewhat careless use of his stick and him being a Leaf he will get max but Durzi deserved the boos..

On the Engvall hit - it was stupid and selfish. It looked like it was more of a spastic reaction than an intent to injure to my biased eyes. Two minutes on that Roy penalty was a joke. Watch it here and tell me there he's not trying to hurt Roberston.

Mad props to the Leaf crowd for keeping the boos up. I'm typically quite critical of Leaf crowds (lots of empty seats to start periods, just low energy all around) but it was great to see the crowd that engaged yesterday.

Also, props to Durzi's parents, they seemed like good folks. Love his mom trying to out cheer the boo birds
