Maybe its the "I hate the Leafs I am going to light them up" attitude every former pick/hometown player has but I enjoyed the booing/jeers he got after spending 20-30K on tickets on family and friends.

Its probably unfair and the result of watching guys like Simmonds(past Simmonds), Konecny, blah blah come in and say how bad they want to beat the Leafs but thats hockey. There will be a day where he is on the other side of this.

And yes I do feel for the mom and dad.

2. I thought Durzi's parents were pure class. Tip of the hat to them.

3. Last night was perhaps the weirdest thing I've ever seen at a Leafs game. Like, why the frank was the crowd booing Sean franking Durzi? Bizarre. Funny, but bizarre.

You could see the dad laughing, the mom looked pissed but I am sure there are a lot of moms out there that would turn around and lay into everyone. They understand the highs and lows that comes with Leafs hockey.

Regardless of what you think of the play he probably didn't deserve it. I think its just a result of the fans being super engaged with this team right now. They see the players all upset and they back them up blindly. Its good to see honestly, usually our fans are boring.

No doubt Leafs players saw the opportunity to get at him with all his "fans" in the building. They get it too...They get the "villains" scoring on them and it doesn't feel good...they get a "villain" come in here and poop the bed they want to feel those highs.

She’s no Bonnie Marner and the kid only signed a $3.4M two year deal so his dad is clearly a wimp.

Also its a long time away and this decision doesn't need to be made until after we win the cup.

If this remains by TDL time you can feel pretty good dealing away a 1st knowing you are getting one back or at the very least a 2nd.

I just looked that up, didnt realize it also.
