why? - picklerick
Create a market? If he wants out of the rebuild in Chicago and waives for more than one team I would think with a few teams bidding for him, say 3 of NYR, NYI, NJ or COL the return would be greater.
Get the Rangers back in the playoff hunt? Why not?

I’m fully on board with a Patty Kane deal. I am in the minority aswell lol - Slimtj100
I'm down too but I am really not sure how to feel about it. |

Please, send him anywhere else. Long Island, Buffalo, etc. - tomburton99
Don't think he'll waive for Buffalo, but the Islanders could be in the running.

Lol, not at all!
I'm holding off on getting tickets until we have one more family discussion and cement the idea. |

The devils too. But none of teams have Breadman and he supposedly wants to play with him
I think both teams would do The Dallas first rder, Dylan Garand and another B prospect (Korczak, Hendrickson, etc) Rangers in no way should or would deal the usual suspects for a rental, ie Othman, Schneider, Kakko, etc
How are the hawks goalie prospects? Garand is pretty good from what I heard a couple times. Although his stats are pretty bad this year as I just looked at them |

Agree with the return. Something along the lines of the Giroux return last TDL a 1st, a 3rd and a prospect. Don't expect Othmann, Schneider, Kakko. Don't want Kravtsov. Who's you're 2nd best forward prospect after Othmann?
Hawks goalies of the future may be Soderblom who played the 3rd period against the Rangers last Saturday. He should be in the AHL instead of facing all the rubber playing with the Hawks. They also have a couple goalie prospects in college who may or may not pan out. Too early to tell. Hawks really need some young talented forwards more than goalie prospects.

I'm of the opinion that Garand should be here next year, so long as his play backs that up.

Only trade him if he’s considered a chip know what I mean. But yea I’d much rather have him over Halak. Hell I’d rather have a dead Eddie Giocomin over Halak |

Maybe Cuylle. That would be a tough one to give up for Kane |

Kane does not seem like much of an impact player anymore. This would be such a rangers move. They do not need to do

I'm not overly enthused about Cuylle at this point. He's seen a bottom 6 guy, right? |

Disclaimer: I am not advocating for or against trading for him in this post.
He had 92 points last season and is having a "down" year for himself with 20 in 25 this season (happens to lead the team in points). The team is crap, so of course he is not producing like he normally would.
Again, not saying i want him here. But let's be real |

Not thrilled at all by Kravstov sitting out yet again. If I am being honest though, last night our forwards back checked better than they have perhaps all season. That is not Kravstov's game at all. Perhaps Gallant wants him to see from the press box what they are looking for him to get in the lineup? I don't know, but I'm hopeful we'll see the kid again SOON. |

I thought he was the guy to replace Reaves role eventually but obviously hasn’t happen yet. He isn’t having a great year in Hartford but no one looks like they are |

He said he modeled his game after Tom Wilson. Haven't seen anyone else make that comparison |

They need to play or trade their top 10 pick. Sitting does nothing for him

His points are still where they need to be. His underlying numbers are just on the decline. He's probably better for a team that is one player away from the cup

The only issue with Kane is after this year. How much does he get/want for us to make a trade because I don’t think either party would want it to be a rental situation.
He is a player made for NYC and MSG. The Rangers absolutely need a player like him. He’s 34 so freakin what, we’re this close to a cup as of last year if there ever was a time to be the “old” NY Rangers it’s for him imo |
