Only when warranted, TJ, only when warranted. Not just to write it. - airjan23
Can’t they stop treating Goodrow like Brett Howden ffs tho? |
|
|

they are deep in the abyss - picklerick
The fans were sitting there like WTF are we watching. Then they cheered when Columbus scored, which I found hilarious. |

They should cut him for that - Slimtj100
Can only hope. Use the money to trade for Timo Meier. |

The issues are the cap hit and line placement. He is an easy target. I was happy with the add, just think he needs to be used differently. he played a big role in the ECF run while playing injured |

I still have no idea what Gaudreau was thinking. I guess it's about family but he had other options in that region. |

That's the guy i've been clamoring for. Maybe it's because he kills us, but I feel like he would look great opposite bread |

He is definitely an easy target
I don’t get the Kravtsov thing with GG. I’m with ya on that. It is painful how he doesn’t get to play. But this is not Goodrows fault just like it wasn’t Hunts last year. Goodrow is a huge cog in the wheel thus why he got 7 years. You can’t win cups without guys like him
Last night like you said Panarin was a new man, Goodrow was a linemate. It has to mean something doesn’t it? |

I mean of the 2 top RW on the market, I'd want him more. He's younger, and isnt a blackhole 5 on 5. |

You have to decide if correlation or causation. Panarin was noticeable defensively, that was the difference, as the D led to O. If you want to argue it was because of Goodrow was on a line with him, be my guest |

I love him but he is an RFA and how are you fitting in his future cap hit? |

He also took 2 offensive zone penalties. Both times the Rangers had a the puck in a 1-1 game. How is that anyway a positive? - tomburton99
From last blog on this subject:
I feel like the team should sit down and agree that they do not fight unless something egregious takes place. It doesn't do anything positive and could give us a few more powerplays if we just let the other guy take a dumb penalty trying to fight trouba for a clean hit (or goodrow for a dumb penalty he himself took previously) - picklerick
I have to disagree a little. I doubt Goodrow had any idea he canceled a scoring chance when he dropped the gloves. But, I bet you he was absolutely aware that Kolesar was out of line and would be willing to drop the gloves in a tie game that had no real momentum for either team at that time. From the time they fought til the end, we had that momentum and took advantage of it. Not sure why everyone is nitpicking about us having the puck, given the resulting energy it provided. |

Fair enough. Good way to look at it. I think we are all just frustrated with Gallant's usage of him. |

Or maybe the Penalty that Theodore took at the end of the 2nd period gave them momentum. |

That too. If he's centering the 4th line, he's not as much of an issue. Trade Blais for a LD, play Vesey and Gauthier line, profit. Couple of issue cleared up with a subtle move. |

The dumber penalty on the night was Lindgren on Stone. Being already short handed.
Not that I want you to kill Lindgren for 3 hours |

Hajek has been serviceable and I am still intrigued by Blais. I think he is beginning to round into form. |

Kakko has been passing the eye test for a while now. Laf looked much quicker because he appeared to be thinking the game at a high level last night. |
