Even if one plays along… we are talking about Crosby , Marchand and Bergeron are still playing hockey in 3 years, these three have been the best line/line1 on 2 consecutive Olympic gold medal winning teams. If your are now projecting them on the 4th line in 3 years ….that alone should tell you how deep Canada’s roster would.

Again I mean no disrespect to the US, they are deep. But to suggest that Canadias are not 2 teams deep in forward and defense is folly. Only disadvantage is goalie depth.

Yeah most comments are on the ridiculous Canadian team. But the US has numerous bizarre choices that will never, ever happen.

Tage Thompson is a 2nd line winger while Kyle Connor (not Conner) isn't on the roster? Thompson would be my 4th line center over Matthew Beniers (not Berniers).

First pair is Fox and McAvoy even though both tend to play right D.

Third pair is pretty funny. Seth Jones on the left and Werenski on the right. Neither guy plays that side.

Werenski is likely your top pair d-man beside Fox. Then Hughes-McAvoy. He's a partner that can let Hughes jump into the rush and cover his mistakes. Seth Jones is not even a consideration for this roster. Final pair might be something like Slavin or Miller beside a Matt Roy. Possibly Carlsson if his game holds up.

Not long ago it was reported that Jack Campbell was the best American goalie. I argued Hellebuyck and it wasn't even close. Glad to see he's starting. Mising Demko who could challenge Knight and Oettinger. But Hellebuyck is way ahead of anyone else.
