I hear you, and I have nothing against hunter gun owners.

What I do have a problem with are gun nut associations like the CCFR, who will fill gullible ammosexual simple minded people that "THE GOVERNMENT IS OUT TO GET ALL YER GUNS".

The same nutjobs who think the government want to disarm people to take complete control of the population.

Yeah but what are you trouble to solve? I have yet to see an 8 year old girl at a park in Montreal getting shot with a lost bullet from a guy duckhunting in Val d'Or

I still fail to understand why an assault weapon should be in the hands of regular people.
- stinger67

Look up the definition of assault weapon in the proposed bill. Canada does not have "assault weapon's" available. The magazines are illegal past 3-5 rounds in any "assault weapon" and automatic fire is either disabled if grandfathered in or illegal.

People who own guns in Canada know the law. Nobody else seems to.

My favorite are the americans that are like : "we have guns also so that nobody will never dare invade our country"

they think they are frikking Rambo's, but most of them can't tie their own shoes witout needing a breather!

They always say hunting is a sport...well, in my mind, if you spent all your five rounds and missed, I declare the deer winner.

it's not about owning a gun or not Pete, it's about the bad timing concerning the mass killing that occurred at the Polytechnique... you may or may not care about that but people in Quebec most certainly do.
- Pat1993

Well Pat it is 100% about owning a gun, that's the whole issue.

And of course the timing was bad.

And of course I care about what happened.

Come on..

Americans are different. Most are psychos who own guns for protection against other psychos who own guns to defend themselves from...

you get the idea

And I agree with you, and I'll go one step further, I don't believe that anyone outside law enforcement should possess a hand gun.

I know lots of people that have them, and I don't think they need them.

And I tell them that all the time, again my opinion..

Depends for who. My problem with his post was mostly about the CCFR.

Also hints that he may be misinformed about other stuff too.

ok so I'm not sure what the point of your reply was then... anyway I don't own any guns and probably never will, but I'm not for removing firearms if they are made for hunting purposes, and I don't think people need to own any to understand this. the problem is most likely because people have unintentionally or not a very clumsy and awkward way of bringing up the topic, on both sides.

The whole point of the reply is that, had 'they' not included all these hunting long guns in C21, Carey wouldn't have made the post..

And again I don't disagree, and like I mentioned before, he could've just came out and said he wasn't aware of the discount code.

And it's probably a non issue..

This is what happens with early retirement. Spending time with family and taking care of your kids is fun and all, for a while...then you need to find something to do.

Carey Price may be at that phase. Surely didn't realize the extent or meaning his actions would do.

Also, for a guy who said during camp that he didn't wanted to be a distraction this season, well, that ship has sailed, wrecked and sank at the bottom of the ocean.
