Agreed! This organization has a track history of making players play outside of their skill set, which is why I think we really aren't the development of our youth. They have to play that "200 foot hockey" or else

Agreed! I actually feel bad for Torts. He will get the most out of his players, but you can only get so much blood from a stone. Fletcher is a catastrophe as a GM. He is only a GM in this league because his father was very good at his craft. Unfortunately the apple falls VERY far from the tree in this case.

Yep, Sam Carchidi was on the NHL Network on Sirius/XM today and he basically said that Chuckles and Torts aren't on the same page at all. Torts was probably the wrong hire for this team as it is presently constructed, but that's not because he is a bad coach. It's just the wrong situation for him. I hope Torts wins the battle!

Unfortunately, I don't see either guy leaving the organization. If there is a power struggle, I don't expect the coach to win out due to budgetary concerns. The Flyers are still paying 1.6 million a year to Bryz for 5 years. They have their "blank cheque" to spend as they see fit. Don't expect them to suddenly start pinching pennies now.
