I don’t think much of what we’re seeing in these clips would work in the NHL. I’d like to see more of his positional play, rather than plays on the rush or a shot that allowed a leaky goal.

You're looking for the wrong things, you're not going to find many NHL caliber players at the college level. What you should be looking for is raw talent that can be molded once he gets to the NHL level.

Amen. Kids also showing that he’s got that power forward game in him, using his body for leverage, quick shot. It’s a pretty good showing for your first month of college hockey

I don't see it that, there's a good group of young players that I like here. Are there plenty of them, no, are they McDavid or Draisaitl, no, but they don't have to be. We have a small group that we/I can say we aren't starting from absolute zero.

I like Cutter Gauthier and Tyson Foerster, I think those kids have potential. I also like Farabee, who's only 22 years old, Carter Hart 24 years old, Cam York is only 21 years old, I also like Adam Ginning as he's got NHL potential to be a solid defenseman.

What we're lacking is the highend guys which you get from the top of the draft, I think the organization would be wise to sell off guys like Provorov and Hayes, acquire draft picks and start accumulating depth within the organization and hopefully get a few talented player that can really make a difference for the organization.

More so talking NHL guys, yea the prospects I would leave as is. We honestly don’t know what we have in them and you’d essentially be trading for more unproven talent

Just my opinion but if the Flyers don't take a step back and rebuild, teams like Phoenix, Detroit and Montreal, who are rebuilding, are going to bypass them and make the whole organization look more foolish than it already does. They've been muddling away in mediocreland since they shipped out Carter and Richards. Why keep doing the same things over and over again expecting different results?

JVR back tonight. The Flyers are getting healthy. How many points back from the second wild card slot?

Very exciting!

Meaning an 18 year old kid with 12 games of college experience couldn't just jump right into an NHL game and immediately make a difference. There are always exceptions. But very few. It's self explanatory. But I get why it would confuse some. You'll get players from college who are drafted and then soak a bit that will come in and make a difference, like Matty Beniers, but they need some soak-time. Cutter Gauthier doesn't have that yet. What he does have is some nice raw talent that's clearly visible!

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m talking strictly from a YouTube video that was posted. None of this makes sense to me.

Yeah. My count may be a little off but I count 12 1st rounders and 25 2nd rounders playing college hockey right now. Many of those will be in the NHL. Not to mention 3rd rounders and beyond who will make it.

Nick Perbix just beat out Myers in TB. He was a mid 6th round pick.

There's 60-something teams in Div I, tho... thousand(s) of players. The talent disparity between the top and bottom of the lineup can be pretty huge, even on powerhouse teams.

Cam has been cleared to play and has been practicing with the team but is still unavailable to play? What gives? This sounds like player's decision. What is the issue?

Why are we giving him a free pass on not lacing them up and getting back on the ice. For a game?

1) Free will, because I wanted to.

- Dave21Brown

Obviously but it's not appropiate.

2) As a 57 year old life long fan myself, yes, even though we don't really have a say in the matter, yes, I'm willing to do things the right way and have to team rebuild through the draft for a few years like most successful teams do. They need to build a core from the draft. Screwin around trying to win through trades and free agency is a thing of the past. First you build a core and then you supplement them with trades and free agency.

- Dave21Brown

You've changed the subject from being satisfied with a team that is competitive and entertaining to how you want them to approach the future. We're in agreement that they need to build through the draft and stop trying to wheel and deal their way there.

Maybe he is not in shape due to inactivity?
Guessing he had concussion or similar..

Sure, but there's a much higher number of NHL draft picks and draft-worthy eligibles playing in the CHL than the NCAA. That Canadian talent pool is no joke.
