Gotta get back into it.

Was injured in 2018, then my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was doing everything for the kids, so didn't have enough time to do serious training.

I was still running a little, but not enough to be in marathon shape.

Then COVID hit, and I lost motivation - I was always the guy who was training for the next race - and there wasn't any next race.

But I really miss it - need to get back into the routine.

I'm not really all that broken up about Heaney. He had a decent year with the Dodgers. Every pitcher ever seems to be distinctly better with the Dodgers: see Mitch White.

It was predicted that 2021 would be a breakout year for him, and it sure wasn't with his 5.85 ERA and 1.3 WHIP. Last year with the Dodgers he was noticeably better at 3.10 ERA and 1.09 WHIP - but that was literally the first time in his career he's had numbers that looked that good. He's a career below-.500 pitcher with bad numbers outside of last year and last year he only pitched 72 innings and only made 14 starts.


Hey, baseball's crazy unpredictable, but I think we're okay to have missed out on Heaney.

Ryu's contract is 100% guaranteed and he's coming off Tommy John. Not a chance he can be unloaded. Kikuchi will make $10M this year and next. Jays could possibly unload him if they ate at least half.

Luxury tax, eat the 5 million or just pay the tax. My belief is they should be making moves to go for it before they also have to give large contracts to Vlad and CO.
