No.....this is based on observation and the experience of watching the Leafs come up short against teams who are bigger and play more aggressive hockey (Washington, Boston, Columbus, Montreal and Tampa)

Those four are not adding a douchy element to their game at this point. Not happening. Gonna have to add that some other way. All the hockey Kreskins in here have forgotten that post January hockey is a different animal.

34-13-5 .702% from January 1 onwards

But to be fair and objective, here it is broken out (start of season to Jan 31, and then Feb 1 - end; literally breaks it out even at 41 games):

28-10-3 .720% first 41 games (4th overall in that span)
26-11-4 .683% next 41 games (5th overall in that span)

. . .and while we were doing .683% after the mid-way mark, Tampa was .622%; Colorado was .667% Calgary and Florida were .750% and .736%, respectively.

Teams do tighten up their defense, but we are no exception. It's not like when the games get tighter the Leafs just suddenly vanished. They are a good team. They need to prove it in the playoffs, but they are a good team.

Gotta get back into it.

Was injured in 2018, then my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was doing everything for the kids, so didn't have enough time to do serious training.

I was still running a little, but not enough to be in marathon shape.

Then COVID hit, and I lost motivation - I was always the guy who was training for the next race - and there wasn't any next race.

But I really miss it - need to get back into the routine.

I waited for two hours last week to get my golf clubs unloaded.

The best part: in the area where everyone was waiting for their oversize luggage, there were a couple of crates with rescue dogs from Korea - and one of them had taken a massive poop in their cage.

The smell was franking horrendous, so grumpy people were even grumpier.
