Who's he talking off PP1? Also how does that negatively impact puck dependent Fox and Pannarin.
Now I want this to happen just to see it blow up in the faces of the Rangers. - tomburton99
Trocheck. The PP was better when they lost the initial faceoff anyway |

I guess the Joke didn't land. Brooks had hard on for Anderson. Now he sucks. He was told at the time he sucks, and Brooks continued to pound that drum. Classic Larry. - tomburton99

Trochek isn't so much a cause of any issues as much as he's a symptom of them |

Thank you kind sir. How are you doing considering now most people, (Shockingly I'm not one of them) hate Kreider? Personally, he should be Captain. Given his loyalty to this poop steaming organization. |

For sure. And He doesn't need to be on PP1. Was commenting on Trochek overall, not just the PP |

No, not who's taking the bandages off of Sarah Palin's face after multiple face lifts, but the actual faceoffs on the ice. |

Tony for 11.6 mil he better be up front and center and he hasnt. Ive watched almost 95 percent of the games this year and he has played like paper. He comes into the zone and button hooks, teams have adjusted and he just turns the puck over. He has been giving the puck away more and more on a regular basis and it is pretty baffling.
Please dont talk to me about his point totals, he is on the PP for 2 minutes at a time and most of his points have been secondary PP assists!! Im not impressed for a player making 11.6 mil. He hasnt taken controlled of a game in weeks. That includes going back to last years playoffs where his biggest goal was the OT goal against Pitts. Yes it was a big goal but where was he the rest of the Playoffs??
I dont think he is decline, I think its more of a confidence/personnel assignment thing. GG kept putting the PP1 line out there even though they didnt score since Halloween (Just Exaggerating) but WTF, change it up a little!! You arent scoring so do something a little different!!
We arent winning anything unless Igor and Panarin start to play better and we dont really have a back up now, for all of you who were clamoring to get rid of AG for a bunch of water bottles, wouldnt it be nice to have him now??? The team looks like it is sleep walking and needs to be shaken up. GG is a players coach and needs to get the teams attention again and get them to refocus. Whether its extreme as sitting Panarin for a game or something small as just letting the PP2 unit go out there.
We need to wake this team up. - Brukie
Your final sentence is certainly 100% on point.
I agree Panarin needs to do more. Full stop. But, I would argue that his decline in production is intrinsically tied to the play of the rest of the team and vice versa. Look at McDavid, I don't care how good any single player is, they are not enough to carry an entire team to the ultimate success.
As for Georgiev, my main reason for wanting him gone was his salary. He was making almost $1.5M more than I wanted us to be paying a back up this year.

so we shouldn’t trade for Kane because Zib can’t take PP faceoffs? |

I am used to the hate, it’s all just noise now haha. I mean for someone who supposedly sucks still has 23 points in 27 games this year. He is a streaky player so the ups and downs this year are par for the course. Yea I would have picked him for captain too. But kind of glad he isn’t, or everything right now would be blamed on him |

I mean he doesn't do it now with Trochek and didn't do it last yearn with Strome. So unless all of sudden that changes, seems kinda of important. |

One of the few things I missed was during last year when he was scoring at a unreal pace was your reactions. A person who shall not be named complained hard enough to get me a 3 year ban. But we back. |

Panarin is most definitely suffering from the teams performance cause he has shown that he can not carry them, he is dependent on his team mates like most players. I think he is a borderline top 10 player in the league but its up to his coach to figure out how to get the most from him.
No big trades, coaching change unless the team goes on a winning streak leading up to the holidays. The next 3 games will be the measuring stick. If they play hard maybe they are playing for their coach, if not, GG has to go. |

Agree that the team would be in a better spot if they had a combined extra 50 points from Kakko/Laf but that's pretty obvious isn't it?
What I don't agree with is that the organization put all their eggs in the Kakko/Laf basket. They make a combined $3M this year and they lucked out winning lotteries to take them. It wasn't like they traded a bunch of assets to bring them in hoping they'd be the savior. Fans have expected the world of them, and sure they have disappointed so far, but to say that this team is where they are currently because of 2 players that are 21 years old making a combined $3M when they've gotten avg goaltending (Shesty has been above-avg, halak has been bad), their PP that has a combined cap hit of $42M is ranked 20th in the league and everyone on defense besides Fox and Hajek have taken a step back (Hajek had nowhere to go but up) is insane.
Disappointing, yes. 90% at fault for the rangers underperforming to the magnitude that they are, definitely not. - SkjeiStadium
The org basically did rely on them after last year to take the next step. They could not afford to keep vatrano or copp. They were hoping laf and kakko would a take a huge leap this year based off the playoff run.
90% at fault I agree is pushing it. Avg goaltending, regressed PP, and low shooting % are contributing factors as well

Quinns system and lack of GG's does not fit the players skill set on this team. That is for sure

How could in not? Shesterkin regression, Kreider regressing to his norm, young guys not scoring, same 5 on 5 problems, Gallant with his head in the sand. All bad. |
