I didn't see that line as an effective one. They got hemmed in a couple of times and all three of them took a minor penalty in the game. I like Simmonds, but really he adds very little to this team at this point.

Poach the st lou roster or another middle pack bottom feeder. Leafs are good and why all the hate when collecting points? Matty is a 2 way threat and learning to shut down while sacrificing scoring (will win a selke eventually)... Top 6 LW is the missing piece

Also didn’t know a leaf prospect was the ohl leading scorer if I’m being honest.

It does seem like politics with having US players playing in Canada, although I haven’t looked at their roster to see how many players are actually playing in Canada.

Wouldn't surprise me if the US development program gets all female dogy about players that did something they felt was better for themselves.

Also, noone knew he was the top scorer. Media can't write stories about Leafs mismanagment if they have good draft picks. Nor can the fans want to fire him

According to the people who count chances, they out-chanced the TB 4th line 7-3. I’m not a big fan but there may be specific situations where he’s the best fit they’ve got. That may be more of a statement of who’ve the got.
