Philiippe didn’t work out in Philly. The Preds are known for developing D men and they couldn’t develop him. The Bolts couldn’t do it either. VAN could do it! Just believe.

Another legit top 4 dman would make a big difference for the Canucks, obviously more then one would be better but thats not easy to do, hell just getting one would be tough to do but if management could somehow acquire just a defense first top 4 guy it'd go a long way to stabilizing this team, Rutherford's biggest failure of the offseason was doing nothing to address the Canucks defense.

Provorov must play with a very good puck mover in order to be effective. Do you have one? If not, it’s not worth it as he will not make a dman better. He kinda needs someone to make him better in that regard. That’s been proven.

Provorov and a change of scenery would do wonders for this stud who has been your anchor on D since Day one. He has never been used properly and I would bet he would be a stud with a change. He can play D very well and the only reason his points are lower is because he generally spends more time blocking shots because nobody else can on your sad sack team. Philly leads the league for years in futility.

Bad enough that Horvat may be gone soon but trading Quinn or Petey would be the worst thing management could do. The issues are management, weak defence, and a goalie named Demko that has been playing injured all year. The Canucks have been cursed since they drew Dale Tallon and Gilbert Perrault went to Buffalo.
