Exactly. I was checking to see what Dubas offered him and seeing all the articles about how badly he messed up. The other laugh is the number of analysts who picked the Oilers to win or get to the SC just because they got Jack. - Canada Cup
I was very happy dubas walked away from jack at anything over 3m. Jack always seemed too soft to be a success goalie in this market long term.

Lol. In the opening episode of this season of White Lotus the hotel manager (expensive resort in Sicily) tells the guest he’s an idiot because they came through the local airport and had their luggage lost - Canada Cup
I haven't watched it yet but will soon as the binging has started with Hudson and Rex season 5. |

He does not look happy to me, he beats himself down every night and almost cries.
Like Wedige said, I'd be worried about him.
If things change fantastic for him...but he is looking like he is having an atrocious time out there. |

I love how Trotz has them playing even without their top 3 D! - Zezel
Me too. What will make me sad is if Leafs win the President's trophy then lose to some poopbag team that barely squeaks into the playoffs.

Hes unhappy with his play as he has said, sure. Has never said he is unhappy with signing the contract or with anything outside of his play. |

I was in the camp of letting Campbell walk. He had a good couple of months and played well enough in the Habs series, but I felt he cost the Leafs the Tampa series.
I still believe most were taken in my the gosh, golly, good guy reputation, but I didn't see him as a true number one.
I'm glad we didn't pony up on the 5x5. But like most, I do feel bad for him and how tough he is on himself.
Now, I also thought the Murray signing was a big gamble. Especially when most figured Ottawa would have had to eat more salary to trade him.
We can cross our fingers and hope this current tandem continues the solid play, but I figure it'll retreat some. I don't expect the current save % to hold all year.
The team is playing super solid despite all the Injuries. I'm pleasantly surprised.
What does it say about this team to keep rolling with their top 3 D out?
What does it say about who they've plugged in? Are they better than we thought? Or are the 3 that are out not as great as we thought?
Now with Jarnkrok out for a minimum 2 weeks, Robertson should now get a good look. Whether he shines enough to stick or shines enough to increase his trade value, we will find out soon enough. If the Leafs make a big move like I expect before the deadline, I figure Robertson is one of the pieces moved.
Any predictions for Saturday against the Lightning?
I'm predicting another tight game. 50/50 on who wins though. |
