Hahaha that's an interesting jump to conclusions. I didn't mention anything about what I wanted. My posts were completely observational.

I’m making an assumption based on you not wanting to rebuild, if you don’t want to rebuild then you either want to continue to re-tool or just do what they’re currently doing, sitting on your hands and give it the wait and see approach.

He plays on a terrible team in Oshawa, so of course he will have some ups and downs.
Also, basing a player off of 1 month of hockey, is how you end up with Danila Klimovich.

I love your ability to foresee the outcome of a 19-year-olds career after 78 AHL games - what a talent!!!

The same as when Peyton Krebs and Ty Dellandrea were drafted.

Krebs still struggling but is a Jan birthday. Dellandrea starting to produce at 22 years old with 13 points in 25 games but he was a July bday. Neither have been worthy of the 13th or 19th draft slots so far.

I like Ritchie but there are quite a few others that are rising above him right now.

Klimovich is also a 2nd round pick. I'd take Ritchie in the 2nd round.

True, but Edm and Buf both pretty much relied on UFA's to fill the void over trades.
- Retinalz

Trading away draft picks too often, missing on draft picks. Probably way too make BPA selections.

Klimmer is also still only 19. and his numbers are an improvement on last season. he had 18 pts in 62 last year and is on pace for 31 in 67 this year. Most players that come into the AHL and put-up big numbers before making the NHL do so in their early 20's. I'm not worried about a 19-year-old with talent that is improving every year.

Unfortunately, rebuild, re-tool, tinker or wait and see, there's no foolproof way to do things to guarantee success or a cup. It doesn't make a lick of difference what I want, nor am I gonna pretend like I know more about managing an NHL team than those in power. We could have McDavid, MacKinnon, Crosby, Makar and Josi on this team and the fans would find a way to fawking hate all them for one dumba$$ reason or another and drive them outta town, one by one.

The good news his comparables have played NHL games. Bad news is that Oliver Wahlstrom is probably by far the best of the bunch.
Others would include Denis Guryanov, Klim Kostin, Alexander Nylander, Joe Veleno, Martin Kaut.

If he picks up the pace a bit, he might walk into Adrian Kempe territory. That could be a win.

Exactly. It is the over agers that flame out - Gaudette, Rathbone, then you have the swedish saviours of Rodin, Brummstrom...

Horvat>Boeser>Miller - the only guy they should trade is the guy who can't pass or hit the net with a shot. Put Boeser on the left half wall on the 1st PP and he gets lots of points

WTF is that all about? I wonder if that’s true, I know it’s done as a last resort on occasion but you can’t convince me Allvin or Rutherford couldn’t find a deal for Boeser.

If Columbus can get a 3rd & a 4th for Oliver Bjorkstrand surely to God they can get something for Boeser who consistently puts up 20 goals.

I don’t think anyone is looking for a foolproof method, but rather, something that’s failed them for almost a decade. How about let’s try something different, maybe?

Not sure why a captain is needed when you are years away from competing
