Believe me, I am not overly optimistic, all I was pointing out was, I see a plan, but it is almost identical to the Benning plan.
I didn't mind the Bo trade, as I felt they had to start somewhere

- Reubenkincade

I am on the other side. I don't see a plan and if there is one it looks pretty stupid so far.

I see a lot of reactionary knee jerking right now. Sign Miller/trade Miller. Sign Boeser/ trade/Boeser. Sign Boudreau/ fire Boudreau.

If I was Kuzmenko I would not be buying a house here anytime soon.

How is Raty a reclamation project? He had a monstrous D+1 season and his D+2 season has him nicely adjusting to NA hockey. He is a B+ Prospect with solid upside and a high floor.
- Retinalz

I agree Raty is not a reclamation project, he is only 20. I don't have a problem at all with him coming here.
I would have hoped that the player in this player, prospect, pick trifecta played a position of need, like D or C. Beau is really the one to be considered the reclaim special out of the 3. And is a winger to top it off...

There comes a point in your career as a pro athlete where you earn that UFA status and weigh where you want to be and why. Clearly, wanted out or he would have entertained an extension. and based on where this team is and run, I would have left as well. The Canucks couldn't afford to lose him for nothing, and that's why we are here.
Interestingly though, they were not willing to get even close to this point with Miller. Kind of says it all right there. Especially when the player that Bo is, points, age, and positionally, is exactly the type of player that the teams says they want and need.

It's because he's going to pull a ryan Smith and resign with us in the off-season

Funny
You come at it like it is way too much from the Oilers, and Mini say it is nowhere near enough...lol. And I see this as fair in between you two.
The Oilers done with Puj. and have to make a move in the next week. If they want a dman that in our consensus is worth a 2nd, then how would us taking on extra cap and giving them assets not be worth more?

I go off much more what NHL insiders say and what NHL execs and previous front office people leak out.

It was set up by someone who has admitted to being a right leaning person.

Now, really, this country is roughly 1/3 right, far right and 2/3 roughly are others, so ya, more than likely the majority of the population will be something other than the opinions of those who are right , or the screaming alt-right, but it is a forum that should be used to discuss divisive issues, like politics and religion, not a fucking hockey site.

According to the left most centralists are "far right". 1/3... I don't think most Canadians have any clue what far right actually means.

The liberals are farther right then the conservatives at this point in regards to removal of bodily autonomy in many aspects of life. Corporate control, transfer of wealth from the Middle class to the upper class has never happened as quickly as under the liberals and yet Canadians seem to think they're socialists.... the liberals under Trudeau are fascists, plain and simple. The NDP stopped being relevant when they stopped supporting workers rights and started sputtering corporate suppression of those rights, they're Justin's layup dog. Layton would be ashamed.
I know Elizabeth May personally and have supported her but the last leader of the greens hamstrung her and they couldn't vote independently anymore. Hopefully now that she back things will change.
PPC is a joke, they'll never take power and max is just mad he lost to otoole. 4 percent is all they'll represent, half that number is an accurate count of far right Canadians. Not percentage either, actual voter count.

Rant over.
This has a much a place here as talking about football, at least it's talking about something Canadian unlike the superbowl.

You're not wrong, just saying that Edmonton wouldn't do it and I don't think we'd want the cap hit next year unless we trade Miller.
We need the cap to sign Horvat as a ufa

on Brock Boeser trade rumblings:

"Smart money is on this not happening between now and the trade deadline, more likely happening in the off-season...I know there's interest...I would say a reasonable amount of interest over time expressed in Boeser." #Canucks

Seems to be much more interest in Boeser than Garland as well.

The liberal govt under trudeau needs to be removed for sure. Problem is I don't think our current Conservative or NDP party are the answer. I feel like they will just continue where the liberals left off. A new major party is needed, one that puts the 99% before the 1%. Problem is that if one every tries to form, they will be stopped.

Toronto needs less election power than it currently has. We also need to eliminate corporate sponsorships by setting spending limits by parties, and make it come from taxes. Then tax the corporations to get that money. Anti Corruption laws are also needed, and need to be enforced outside of our government.

100 percent

For now, getting rid of Trudeau is more important then "never conservatives".

I'm willing to give Pierre a shot, he wore some interesting essays when he was young and unlike Otoole, didn't sell his political soul to special interest groups to get elected.

Proportion representative governments needs to happen but I don't trust anyone in power to do so, certainly not Trudeau.

The system needs to burn, until then whoever will give me the most personal autonomy will have my vote. Corporations should be outlawed, that would solve most problems within a generation or two.

Capitalist Anarchism is the only way. Let us have and own what we create. Live in a tribal fashion caring for our neighbors. No more war, no more borders, no more politics or fascists.

I expect the next five days is going to be pretty quiet. I think we will still be debating in here about the 2014 draft nd who we should have taken. I don't really care at this point who we will be selecting in the fifth round of the draft this year.

I know some get thrown off by the different topics thrown around on here, but I find some of it amusing and some stuff even informative. The parts that don't interest me I scroll by.

One thing I do find interesting is how many more are joining the other side with the conspiracy takes and not just accepting what they are being told to accept.

An example: I got the first two doses of the vaccine and then Lordy came out one day and said what virus has you getting a booster every year. Eyes opened. My daughter is a nurse, and she was against it so again my eyes opened wider. As I said it is a personal choice and I believe whatever choice suits that person is the correct choice. But it was Lordy's comment on this thread that made me aware, so I have no problem with people posting other stuff here. I seen SMP post something very similar to what Lordy said and I always respect his takes so again some good topics fly by on here.

And the fights are entertaining as hell.

He should take the same path and come play for Vancouver in the WHL. next season. Just kidding. I'd rather see him come play in Abbotsford.
