Has this board really gone back to if the team fights they will win more hockey games?

I miss Torts

Hartley triggered his response. You see which Canucks were there to support their coach? Future head cold coach Burrows and allstar defenceman Tanev.

They have been linked to that LHD out of CBJ. Thats the game they were at.

Oh so Dubas being at the Chicago vs Canucks game was to watch a Columbus player and Ken Holland, Woodcroft and Nicholson were also at the Canucks vs Avalanche game to scout the same Columbus player.

That's some serious new age scouting there.

Dubas showed back up a few days later to watch Van vs Clb.

Brad Holland showed up to the Van vs Clb game alone.

I thought it was the other way around. I remember the video of the GMs at the game being the CBJ one.

Have you never played team sports? You don’t have to fight every game, but you can’t turn the other cheek either. Gaining team respect is all about the player sticking up for each other, it’s all part of a healthy dressing room.

I was actually talking about the hallway scrum, didn’t notice KB or RK but they may have been there.
Gillis built a tough team.

League was tougher in general back then so even if that Canucks team wasn't "tough" they would be by today's standards and would bully the current Canucks

Doesn't even have to be a fight if you're not a fighter, and you'
re the closest teammate, start a scrum with some shoves and a few face washes, have the team take the number of the guy who threw the hit and throw a couple of big hits back during the next few shifts.

It won't suddenly turn this team into a contender, but it will make them more endeared by the fans and maybe this fanbase will be less negative if the team is at least likeable. Right now they're not likeable or winning so it's hard for the fanbase to stay positive.

Meanwhile you look at a losing team like the Habs and the vibes are completely different.

That was a well built team, had all the elements needed to win.
Canucks trade Schenn then the Lowermainland Thunder ringette team would bully the Canucks.

That's all Kesler ever did was yap, he whimpered away later in the game when he got challenged, like the POS he was.

Yet he was a way better 5v5 all-around player than Bo. Ask Toews and the Hawks if he was easy and fun to play against.

This fanbase deserves lovable losers

The other team will be afraid of you if you start a scrum and face wash them while they punch you in the face.

I said he was a POS, never said he wasn't a good player.

The rules back then weren't enforced like they are now, so it is a bit difficult to compare the 2 era's.

LAK has pieces, Buffalo has better pieces. The Penguins have sweet (frank) all to trade.
