A C has to be 2-way if a team is to go far. Wingers are not C’s for this very reason besides other skills.

We were talking about Reinbacher, who is neither a centre, nor a winger.

So NYI 1st is top 12 protected. Is that before or after the lottery? What if the pick wins 3oa?

Then Ny keeps it and you get their 2024 pick.

Aron Kiviharju in 2024 would be a good get

The story that gets lost with hull is he fought with owners for a fair wage they made squat and in 72 he said frank you and signed for a million with the jets and Stan makita broke down in tears for 2 reasons he lost a good friend and players can get paid properly so Bo can thank hull for breaking the barrier and since 72 bobby was attacked with fake stories to make him look like bad does this sound familiar in the world today? The summit series in 72 he got snubbed along with Howe because of the WHA when it should have been Canada’s best against Russia’s but he did play the Russians in 74 and 76 and the russians said he was the best they ever faced, if Canada had him, Howe and Orr in 72 the series wouldn’t have been close.

The best part of the trade today for me was I think Canucks will finally fall and draft higher. That without question was the highlight IMO.

I thought the return was underwhelming but as we have discussed for weeks it was expected. It is fair and underwhelming in the same sense.

Raty will probably spend a lot of time hopefully playing with Podz and Hogs. Truthfully, I don't know if Colition is the guy to develop them seeing he has been here only a short time and have not seen anyone come up from Abby yet that looked NHL ready. Closest I can think of is Lockwood and he was a maybe.

I am very happy we got another first round pick and hopefully they select some good D prospects this draft.

The second takeaway from today is that change is finally coming.

We acquired a second Mikheyev today and that is fine seeing I like Mik and will be happy that we are starting to upgrade on the DiGiuseppe type players.

Today was a good day, not a great day, but thankfully the start of change.

Agree, the team needs to go with three “A’s” until they find someone who has more edge to their game. Worst thing they could do is put another soft player in as captain.

Exactly! Thank you. Waiting for someone to call that out. My previous question was rhetorical. Without some immediate help you are pushing people into roles they are not best suited for.

And when they were in roles they were suited for, they sucked.
