Yeah, no, you traded Bo for a younger Mik, a C prospect with upside and major question marks that probably is the centerpiece of the deal and a protected first that isn't going to get you a star player. So really it's 3 2nds... Lame.
- DariusKnight

How is a mid first in a very deep draft basically a 2nd? You are a serious drug addict. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Live your best life

I'm sure they'll dump a winger via trade by attaching a pick/prospect or buyout, I'd guess Garland.
- Nucker101

Nah but could see a dump coming our way in a package. Lucic?

Happy that soft captain was sent packing. The return means nothing.

A mid 1st this draft could easily be a top 6 F maybe 1st liner. The D are 2nd pair calibre at best but you never know.

Big fan of this trade. The core has finally been blown up. Raty is a much needed center prospect that can skate and has size. This is by far the highest draft pick we were going to get. Anyone that thinks an unprotected pick in this draft was on. The table is (frank)ing stupid.

And as Vanhockey said, the most important part of this whole transaction is that it’s clearly more of a rebuilding move vs a retool. Thank (frank)

Doubtful that this team is going to start taking on cap dumps, I don't think Francesco would approve

If JR/PA had balls, they trade what they got today with Petey or Hughes for the 1OA

That would get rejected

It’s this regimes first big trade, seems to me they did well. If isles miss the playoffs we’re really making hay.

Well said Donna.

VHG and I discussed this almost identical trade a little while back. It is a fair return, as far as I am concerned.
Some people got turned off by Raty, because he didn't have a good draft year, but he played well the year before and the year after his draft. He is going to be a fine addition.
