Damn. JR throwing everyone under the bus was probably the highlight of the season. Well, second to Bruce being tortured of course
- CanuckDon

It's the entertainment business, they're actually trend setting.

If the idea is to get your name out there, everyone stops and watches a live train wreck.

Bruce is a huge wrestling fan. I don’t know why he didn’t embrace it more. wear a cape to media availabilities…throw the odd chair etc

Flames are 1-5-3 without Tanev this year
- Nucker101

Important piece to the mix. Weegar has been average, Zadorov still has a brain fart once or twice a game, Stone is a 7th D at best, Mackey can’t get a consistent opportunity, even though he’s looked better than others.
Tanev like him or not, he’s still a warrior, calming affect out there.

Marky’s broken, at Vladar has played decent.

Good article from Harm about the general feeling most of us have about the Kuzzy signing:

Good contract, but just the wrong time and backs them further into a corner they needn't be in. More short-term thinking.

- NewYorkNuck

Tunnel vision only considering what the post says. There is this little opportunity thing called a trade that has not gone away.

I was going to say Boeser see's the writing on the wall with this crew ... he don't belong.

Who cares, it is not about winning or the cap, as long as Pouty is happy, then the guzzlers are happy.
Having a happy Pouty and a happy crowd of guzzlers, allows the Pouty/Kuzmenko duo, to entertain when playing the high-flying teams, such as Chicago, Arizona and Columbus.
It doesn't matter that they get crushed against teams that play a solid pressure game, like Seattle, Nashville, Minnesota.
It is all good, as long as Pouty is happy and getting points, everything else is irrelevant.

Below is how I feel about it. Until you see what the whole picture looks like, assuming there is one, you can’t really judge until you see the whole body of work that should be coming. As he said below, if those moves don’t come, then sure, it’s a head scratcher.

I am going to judge this Kuzmenko deal in concert with the other moves they make, because I have to assume they are coming. If they don't come then I will have some serious questions. At this point I want to believe this is just one domino in a series to fall.”

- LeftCoaster

Good post but it doesn’t fit others one sided narratives. Don’t you dare point out the obvious lol

They don't know what they're doing. Another team of day by day thinkers.
Short sight with no plan but to react.
I wonder how this group would have handled the floods?

- Marwood

So you believe nothing else is in the works? Mgmt makes 1 move at a time then begins the work on other tasks not before. Why don’t we see what else is to come by the TDL & offseason then we bring out the guns lol

I think they’re two different timelines; signing Miller & Boeser was because they thought they were going to build on the success of the back half of last season and be competitive. That didn’t work out, obviously. So we’re on a different path now. Sign Kuzmenko and trade away the people who they deem are issues.

You’re right, they’re trying to be competitive next season but it’ll be with different players.

- LeftCoaster

Wow you should teach Drance & others how to be real journalists 😂

Good thing Pouty's gone after next season.

Maybe maybe not. He’s not a UFA.

I obviously have no idea what happens behind the scenes but both Miller and Pouty seem to be high maintenance, yet both have been made core pieces. Without a strong captain and coach keeping everyone in line, it probably will never work.

I dream of a day when this franchise is not surrounded in drama. 50+ years of it. Its hard staying a fan of this soap opera.

- bloatedmosquito

Yes there has been drama for 50+ years but includes the fans as well. The media is low calibre also.

Too much without an extension in place.

Conditional 1st. It's a 2nd unless Bo signs an extension or the Canes win the cup. Add on a 2024 3rd if both happen.

- BINGO!

Hard to argue against that. It’s a reasonable trade ignoring homers on either side.

If the Canucks do end up not tanking hard enough, I’m thinking David Reinbacher is the guy they should draft. Eye test guys and nerds all seem to love him
- Nucker101

I don’t see Canucks dropping far enough & reach for him. It’s a very meh draft for D til the later 1st & 2nd rounds on. Trades for picks makes more sense to pick more D.

Is he worth taking with a top 5 pick? I don't see us drafting lower than 8th. I have an eye on Smith, Yager, Dvorsky as guys who could be solid #2 c behind EP.
- Retinalz

This is a more probable scenario.

Makes sense. Kind of like Detroit taking Seider at 6oa when he was seen as a mid 1st pick. I really wanted that kid at 10 and was telling my buddies he was worth taking a few spots early.

EDIT: Bonk and Dragicevic are rising up draft boards as well.

- Retinalz

Also took Edvinsson at 6th

Oh piss off. You and many other champs love to dish it out but can't take it coming back. If folks want to label/chastise others then prepare for a rebuttal. Doesn't stop some from pulling the race card, sexism, misogyny as they have no arguments coming back. Tit for Tat buddy. And the fact you are trying to expose someone's personal info is beyond pathetic and way worse than a few arguments about political matters or otherwise. But it's ok for certain folks to prattle on about politics blah blah blah as long as you follow the narrative. I may disagree with many on here on Hockey related or even non-Hockey related items but never in a million years would I try to expose someone's identity on here for public shaming. You are Fucking pathetic.
