For me, it’s about attitude. Him and his agent have indicated they want to be a part of a winner and EP is not willing to make a long term commitment to the franchise that drafted him. Until they see progress, only short term bridge deals will be accepted.

I can understand that, but a true leader would have said I am going to make this team into a winner, much like Yzerman did in Detroit when they were the laughing stock of the NHL.

I’m getting a bit of the Lindros vibe, and there’s never been a bigger whiny bitch than Lindros.

Re-signing Kuz will go a long way to keeping Petey here IMO.

To be fair, one player can only do so much. Look at McDavid – he's the best player, has another top 5 player beside him in the league, and the Oilers are a sucky bubble team because their management is poop.

If the Canucks had competent management that had a better direction I think that would make a difference.

Nice white beard there Lardhumungass.

- TurdFergeson

That’s not cool, don’t do poop like that. If someone wants to share their identity with you or the group that’s fine but don’t go out of your way to disclose who someone is on a public form.

From a recent obituary in Campbell River.

“Russell would’ve liked to have had 6 of the Vancouver Canucks to be his pallbearers so they could have let him down one more time,” the obituary reads.

I don't think it would matter if the Canucks had competent management and direction because they'd still be hampered by ownership meddling and impatience. Since we aren't in the boardroom when each management/coaching groups present their plans to FA and can only judge what we see on ice, we'll never know if maybe they were competent at the start and had a proper plan and direction that got nixed by FA who wanted no part of it.

Not sure why it's a thing. Pathetic really. I mean I know where alot of posters here live and such but certainly don't care about their personal identities and what have you. If folks want to PM and meet in person great. But it just goes to show you the character of the the posters in question like KY-Turd. They love to dish it out but sure can't take it. Then it resorts to try to finding someone's identity. Sad and shallow.

I guess, but there's so much going on behind the scenes we never know about. A single player can't fix a broken franchise.

Besides, didn't they say that as he was signing a 3 year extension? I feel like 3 years is long enough to evaluate how you feel about the future of the team and decide what you want to do. If things don't get better quickly, why would he potentially commit the best years of his career to a mediocre team that looks like it has no future?

I didn't read this before posting but I said more or less the same. Athletic careers are short, I wouldn't blame him for saying I've been here 6 years and we haven't gotten any closer to playoffs, I'm out.

Nice deflection try.

I know the Chief administration officer in Bowden. Rudy Friesen. It’s not you. And there are no other men in any positions with the town. Liar.

Too much without an extension in place.

Conditional 1st. It's a 2nd unless Bo signs an extension or the Canes win the cup. Add on a 2024 3rd if both happen.
