good call on Rasmussen

I don't watch the Wings much, is he a legit 3C?

- Nucker101

Yup and a good PK guy. Occasionally plays wing or takes faceoff on pp. Kinda reminds me of Bo with a bite.

And Zadina, is who I mentioned.

- Reubenkincade

I was so high on Zadina his draft year He's a bust. They do have my boy Berggren but he's a soft swedish winger which we already have too many of.

They aren’t interested in rebuilding, sadly, but whatever, good luck to them. Tocchet wouldn’t have come if it was a rebuild. Just because Benning couldn’t do it doesn’t mean they can’t turn things around with that method, it’s just that most fans are losing interest. Now, if they trade about three or four guys and really change the makeup of the team, more of a Tocchet team, maybe they can get a wildcard spot.

I’ll be watching the Flyers and Kraken games…

- LeftCoaster

Good luck to them indeed. There will be very few fans left at the unsuccessful end of the next retool on the fly.

First off I will say I really enjoy Kuzmenko on the team, I think he is fun to watch. Very skilled and plays well with Petey.

Next I will say some of you are missing a big picture. This is for the trade happy fans. Who do you think has more trade value, a UFA in five months or a player who does not have a NTC this year that is on pace for 35 goals, a great cap hit this year and the two following years of a very good cap hit. Even with his NTC to 13 teams next year that is still 19 teams you can get a huge return for back.

So my break down is you just made an excellent signing where you could have one of the top lines in the NHL with EP and Kuz and fill in some much-needed help by moving out Bo and maybe one or two others, or you have two excellent players EP and Kuz that you can trade for a huge return if things don't work out.

To me this is a win/win signing.

- VANTEL

Agreed, plus Petey more likely to stay now.

Dhaliwal: says to keep an eye on Michael Rasmussen if Horvat ends up being traded to the Red Wings.

@DonnieandDhali

- LeftCoaster

Wings fans say MR is a really good 3c, i wonder what the top prospect coming back with MR and their 1st is... Better be a good one. I doubt Kasper is available...

Rasmussen, Wallinder 2023 1st and maybe another piece?

He doesn’t excite me, he reminds me of Kevin Hayes who’s also 6’5” and has a long skating stride which looks slow, but those strides take up a lot of real estate. At 23 years old it’s not the worst, but not exciting.

I think that angle is getting overblown by media/fans. If they were worried about upsetting EP that much, they don't send his BFF to the AHL, they cater to his boy Boeser instead of kicking him out of the top 6 and PP1. They don't fire Bruce who EP got along with and replace him with Travis Green's bff.

Crazy how this narrative has been talked up so much that it's basically considered to be true now

If Rasmussen can be that guy, that would be nice. His NHL track record suggests that it's a stretch. I was thinking 3C behind EP-Miller
- Nucker101

I think Miller goes back to the wing eventually, the numbers show he’s not a very good center. But whuddo I know.

I agree, but I think this management's re-tool plan includes Miller being a center.

Yah but I thought there was an ass kicking going on Busboy. Don't get my hopes up next time . Watch Bruins win 1 to 0.

Hagel could’ve eaten a sandwich in front of the net there Rueby, he had so much time, piss poor defending by the Bruins.

It’s fluid, nothings set in stone. Tocchet will make the decisions on who plays where based on what’s happening with the team.

1-0 is still not an ass kicking unless you are from Calgary and have no scoring power.

A lot will depend on what moves are made and who’s there after the TDL. Ras would be good as 3C, for now. Miller had 10 minutes of ice at even strength last night. Tocchet don’t give crap. You play as much as you deserve and you play where you’re told.
