I don't put enjoying watching one line ahead of sorting this team out. I'd take what I can get for Kuz and tell him to circle back to us in the summer if he like this team as much as he says. Priorities.

Enough with the constant signing and drafting wingers. The D is priority and the soon to be issue down the middle are what things they should be focusing on.

- boonerbuck

It is not about watching one line. It is about building around one line. They are not trading Bo for peanuts. This should be one of many moves not one and done.

You will never convince me that selling a twenty goal Kuzmeko with no term on a contract is better than trading a thirty goal Kuzmenko with great term and great cap hit.

I also don't believe for one minute the team looking to buy analizes every single goal . If that is the case we are hooped. Bo last three goals are empty nets against bad teams.

- VANTEL

They are not signing him to trade him. If they change their minds it will because he hasn't lived up to his new contract and then he'll get less than a unsigned twenty something goal Kuzmenko. By the TDL, he should be close to 30 anyways....

One of the things that would have made him valuable is the tiny cap hit with no later commitment going into the playoffs.... if they really like what they got out of him, then they could enter negotiations. Now, they need to commit to his new contract. They may be able to fit him now, but then have to restructure to fit him for next season. That takes some of the 16 playoff teams that could fit him out of the picture.

Kuzmenko is 1 year younger than Bo and a winger. This strategy is pulling in different directions.

Enough with the wingers already. Who the (frank) builds from the wings out? A senile sock puppet is who....

Hopefully there is a plan/option to trade off Boeser and Garland.

I will agree they did not sign him to trade him this year, but all bets are off for next TDL or the following year.

Sorry I just won't get upset that the team just signed a 30-goal guy to a great cap hit and great term. This stuff about not being the right time to do this I don't buy. When has it ever been the right time in the last fifty-two years? I can count that on two fingers.

It's cause this year anyone could fit his under million contract under the cap at TDL meaning more potential destinations driving up price. They bungled this too whether they are retooling or rebuilding. If he loved Van so much, he could have come back as a UFA next year.

They aren’t interested in rebuilding, sadly, but whatever, good luck to them. Tocchet wouldn’t have come if it was a rebuild. Just because Benning couldn’t do it doesn’t mean they can’t turn things around with that method, it’s just that most fans are losing interest. Now, if they trade about three or four guys and really change the makeup of the team, more of a Tocchet team, maybe they can get a wildcard spot.

I’ll be watching the Flyers and Kraken games…

Like SMP said earlier Bo is not worth 9 mil and that is why he will be wearing another uniform next year. I said at the start of the year Bo should be signed at 7 mil. That is what he has been worth over most of his time here. I believe they offered him in that ballpark and he said no.

I am the last person to defend Rutherford, I think he is an idiot but todays signing IMO gave them an asset or an addition that will help a lot in the next few years.

I’m assuming they want a young NHL player who can fill the second line center spot behind Pettersson. Once they traded Bowie.

If Rasmussen can be that guy, that would be nice. His NHL track record suggests that it's a stretch. I was thinking 3C behind EP-Miller

He doesn’t excite me, he reminds me of Kevin Hayes who’s also 6’5” and has a long skating stride which looks slow, but those strides take up a lot of real estate. At 23 years old it’s not the worst, but not exciting.
