Honestly that’s what Aquilini deserves. I hope Bo gets injured. Other teams will bench a player if they are on their way out. Hell might even drive the market up if suitors think another team is close to sealing the trade. This organization is (frank)ed

He’ll play through a torn ACL right now to get out of this organization.

Now that it's out there, bet it happens sooner than later. Tis the canuck way.

Actually it will happen real soon, he'll be on track to return a few games before TDL and will suffer a setback. Now THAT is the canuck way.

I would have given you more for Kuzmenko than for Horvat.

Love Bo, but he's more expensive. And now that you've signed Kuz, you pretty much have to trade Bo and everyone knows it.

- BINGO!

You’re not the only one. I don’t understand all the posts in here that discount the value of Kuzmenko’s extremely low cap hit. It’s still very much a cap league.

I agree that he has value. Every team going into the play offs can find a way to fit his tiny cap hit into the roster adding what is sure to be a 30 goal scorer. 1st rounder easy...

Wasted opportunity to get a big return. Oh well. It’s like they had to extend him. As if for rewarding him for picking them as a UFA.

It is. Fitting in an expiring contract for a few months is something all teams could do for Bo. Rental doesn’t equal term

He's done here. I look forward to seeing this "re-tool on the fly" that's apparently getting kickstarted by trading away a 30-40 goal 27 year old center.

Desperation moves will follow this summer.

First off I will say I really enjoy Kuzmenko on the team, I think he is fun to watch. Very skilled and plays well with Petey.

Next I will say some of you are missing a big picture. This is for the trade happy fans. Who do you think has more trade value, a UFA in five months or a player who does not have a NTC this year that is on pace for 35 goals, a great cap hit this year and the two following years of a very good cap hit. Even with his NTC to 13 teams next year that is still 19 teams you can get a huge return for back.

So my break down is you just made an excellent signing where you could have one of the top lines in the NHL with EP and Kuz and fill in some much-needed help by moving out Bo and maybe one or two others, or you have two excellent players EP and Kuz that you can trade for a huge return if things don't work out.

To me this is a win/win signing.

The signing itself is fine, I'm still not seeing a big picture plan that will succeed. I will continue to enjoy the clown show on and off the ice.

Kuzmenko does not have a NTC this year and a great contract. There would be at least half the league as of now wanting a trade for him. He is also very tradeable for the next two years. Right now he is a 20-goal man and by summer he should have completed the year with at least 30. Who has more value in a trade.

I think depending on what Bo gets back in return and Schenn it is fine you will start to hopefully see some structure and Bear won't be our second best Dman.

I'm expecting more mediocrity over these next 2-3 years unless they pull off a couple of homerun moves.

Post on HF:

After signing;
Miller 8,000,000
Boeser 6,650,000
Kuzmenko 5,500,000
Mikheyev 4,750,000

The management team officially can not use the excuse of deals being hard to make because of no cap space.

You've burned 24,9 million of your cap space on 4 wingers.

To me, todays signing was a home run move. I think Kuz will be a 30-goal guy. As of today he is a 20-goal guy. You know have two years to decide what to do with Kuz and it gives you time to grow his value or have a top line. Again I will say I am happy for the signing. We now don't have to make a knee jerk reaction.
