We all seem to be in agreement that wingers should be the lowest priority as they're the easiest to replace, they fall in the draft, they're cheaper to acquire in trades, there's more decent ones in free agency than there are C/D.

Yet the consensus also seems to be sign Kuz and trade Bo.

A little funny, no?

- Nucker101

Funny yes but not strange. Every line needs a dynamic duo.

Kuz & Petey now Miller needs his.

Well you are wrong. 💯 incorrect. If you want to blow up the room Bo has to go. No single move will be this impactful. He can sign his retirement co tract elsewhere

Another decade of pain, the way this is going to go.

My way is the rebuild, but yes my re-tool way is sign the 30-40 goal 27 year old center
- Nucker101

What we lose is C depth & FO wins. The rest is all replaceable. Miller et al can improve on the dot. Expecting we’ll draft a top 6 C.

I have a feeling that it's not going to be easy finding a dynamic duo partner for Miller if he's playing center.

Hope I'm wrong though. You need a puck carrier that can pass and shoot, and a guy who's defensively responsible, not easy to find those.

I think you were part of the 3 or 4.

I think Miller can be okay at faceoffs, it's his all-around game that I think is much better suited on the wing.

I agree. It’ll take a winger who feeds off of him. Idk if we have one of those yet.

well my blow it up scenario does involve trading Bo so I agree with you there

But if the goal is to make the playoffs within the next 2 seasons(which it is), you're not helping yourself by trading the 30-40 goal faceoff beast center.

- Nucker101

To a certain extent trading Bo may be addition by subtraction. He lost his peers years ago. Regardless, we aren’t making the playoffs in 2 seasons, whether management or fans want it to happen. Trading Bo and Brock are the closest to a rebuild we can possibly hope for. Another 3 top 10 picks and perhaps they can build a better core than Benning could. Will they be successful? Probably not but at least we can turf some of this incredibly unlikable core they accumulated.

Don't worry about it, I am sure left winger McDonough will solve any issues at centre.

Notice only the top 11 can win 1st. Aka any team can move up a max 10 spots.

Canucks atm can win top 2 but can still sink or rise for top 3. Don’t see the difficulty.

Well Dbot already labelled him the best 3rd line C in the league.

I heard one of the “insiders” say a few days ago that it doesn’t look like he wants to sign. Who knows and honestly who cares. Dude is a long shot

My somewhat realistic dream scenario since I know they won't rebuild this season or this summer:

1) They trade Bo, creating a downgrade at both center and wing, as Miller shifts to the middle and isn't as effective as Bo and is less effective than he was at wing

2) The Bo return is underwhelming when it comes to immediate impact, maybe they get a Carlo or Newhook plus futures, but neither will move the needle enough to offset the downgrade

3) Ownership is too cheap to do buyouts, they can't clear cap because most wingers have no trade value unless they're top line caliber or super cheap.

4) They suck again next year, Papa Aquillini has had enough, not because he cares about the team or fans but because he's tired of Francesco brining shame to the family name, one of the other Aquillini bros steps in and is hopefully more hands off and/or open to an actual rebuild
