Scoring Chances For /60 - 30.03
Against per 60 - 19.76

Not one player on the canucks this season has a SCF/60 rate that high. Not one.
Not one player on the canucks has a SCA/60 rate that low. Not one.

Won’t argue analytics. Canes are better built & play D. It’s night & day. KK doesn’t stir the drink.

Exactly but the sheeple will cry when media pulls their strings. Those are true guzzlers & slurpers.

Frankly the more ice time he's gotten the better he's been.

He carries the fourth line because Stastny is so slow he needs to be dragged up and down the ice to be a positive contributer.

Svechnikov and Necas produced at a far higher rate with Kotkaniemi as their center than they have since the decision was made to insulate Stastny instead.

Don’t presume I agree with it in it’s entirety. I make my own decisions & I also revise them. Some rather be stubborn & go down with the ship if needed on some strange set of unbendable principles.

Poolman & Pearson likely ride it out on LTIR.

I could see Garland reinvented.

Both Joshua & Studnicka looked better last game under RT. Imo cuz he likes duos & 3rd wheels like I always liked & wanted.

I think Bo is gone & hoping Brock in the offseason. Hughes is staying. ORL 1 more year then buyout last 3 years if no big improvement.

- Nighthawk

Yeah I can see this. I don't like Hughes but until they have a PMD he is going nowhere. I would like to see Lazar get more active and use his size more. He IMO is close to being sent down and calling up Podz if CL does not get more involved.

14 points in 43 playoff games, including a trip to the 2021 cup finals.

Just plug him in and he goes.

End of the day he's still only 22 and has spent a substantial amount of time as a 4C. I don't think he'll ever be a great offensive player, but $4.8 million per for a 35-40 point defensive 3C is fine.

I don't think you can build around two frames in Petey and KK that would fit into one body. Game has changed, but not that much. Some size still matters and guys of that stature, not many can handle it without being constantly injured.
- Sayros

I liked what I saw in Petey last night a few big hits. He has been one of my favorites to watch this year and I like the line of Kuz Petey and Mik (sorry Reuben).

The thing I like about Petey this year is he seems dialed in and doing things I didn't expect from him.

I don't like the soft players, Brock Bo OEL and QH. I think moving those players will bring a big change, but I don't expect Hughes to be moved anytime soon.

I like Lazar but has hands of stone. Role players are needed but cannot be devoid of offense. At least Joshua scores. As for bye bye Dlcky when he was here he sucked & can pout when gone & still suck.

With this shltstorm of a season we can blame the D but it’s far more obvious it’s the PK & bottom 6 scoring that is a big problem. I’ll put it all on coaching & systems. The D is horrible but looks worse from what I just stated adding goalies were subpar.

A new coach designs lines as I like them. It has to be given the chance.

On Myers & my scrutiny I’ll add I watch him like a hawk pun intended. He is slow to pass & puts his teammate in a position of always under pressure. Myers processes the play like a slug. Totally useless.

He’s never been a 35-40pt C. In Carolina he has 2pts in 14 PO games. He can grow into his contract but if or when that happens he’s worth 2m not 4.8m.

At 22 he can still break out but I don’t see any signs of it.

Bo & Brock are beyond soft. They never hit or finish a check. Pathetic in that regard. Brock being the slug he is may as well hit cuz he isn’t ever going to catch up on the back check. Ever since bozo left the gate unlocked Brock hasn’t hit a thing.

That’s the ask. Canes don’t lean towards rentals. So unlikely even though a 2C is a big hole & the scoring they lack in the PO’s.

I'd take Motte over Lazar any day, size or not.

I bet it doesn't take long for Tocchet to say hey, I need an NHL calibre goalie to ride this out if Demmer ain't coming back. One thing to lose, but 5-6 goals a game is going to wear on everyone. Which is crazy cause I don't think Martin has played that bad, which says a lot about the D. But neither guy is capable of carrying any kind of load. We've probably ruined Martin even as a back-up ... almost 4.00 GAA and probably feels like he's played ok.

I understand this is counterintuitive to lose as many games as possible = best pick possible, but I do truly believe the ones on the bench and ice don't care about tank and the pick.

Players play. Tank isn’t in their dna.

In goal it has been soft & they’ve been hung out to dry. Not a back-ups fault.

Drance is an idiot

Chi are 6-4 in their last 10 games. Doesn't sound like they got the assignment right at all.
