Which we all pretty well know...

Drance and Dhaliwal: "The club isn’t prepared to move their most valuable trade chips just yet, however, and those players that the club would prefer to move are expensive supporting pieces — the list includes Boeser, in addition to Tyler Myers, Conor Garland and Tanner Pearson"

- VanHockeyGuy

It is a good starting point

Not a fan of moving Boeser but if it gets us good return at this point so be it. Myers-Garland-Pearson should have always been the first to go.

"Rutherford and Allvin, still believes strongly in the high-end abilities of a select group of Van’s top players. They still don’t view an all-out rebuild as an unavoidable necessity, but there’s a recognition that the club can’t continue to move forward with their current mix.."

90% ?! Something tells me you dont do stats at work
- neem55

I was a chemical engineer not a statistician. But whatever the number is, most top ten 1st round draft picks (we were talking about Zadina) work out to become decent to very good NHL players. I never said top ten picks, but that’s what I implied….at least in my mind, which is a very mysterious place.

They have obviously already attached themselves to certain players, like Boeser, Miller, Mikheyev, Kuzmenko, as those are players they chose to sign,so either move out Bo and/or Pouty, from your top 6 and get moving along with whatever direction they are taking.
If they think that the problem lies with Pearson, (who is on IR), Garland, etc al, then I think they have greatly over-estimated the quality of players they have in their top 6.

Bedard is going to the CBJ or Anaheim. But that Adam Fanilli kid will be a nice second place prize!

From what I have seen from Fantilli, he might be the better player. Be interesting to see him at the WJC.

Boeser has negative value. Boeser and a 1st for future considerations is fair

That may be true somewhat but all the more reason to keep him for now and let him play out of his funk and get back to scoring. It's not like Boudreau is putting him in a position to succeed either. Not ready to toss the towel in on Boeser just yet. TDL maybe sure.

Boeser wants out
Canucks want him gone
Bruce is playing for his job and can’t afford to play him
Team needs cap space

4 pretty good reasons to pay some team to take his contract

Hopefully they get away from only wanting young nhl players, or they may be waiting a long time to move anyone.

Elliotte on Boeser: I don't think he specifically asked for a trade but I think there's an understanding there between the Canucks and him that it's time for a change of scenery.

If you're gonna tank, you don't need a goalie than can steal you points.

Boes, Demko, Bo... and I hope against hope JTM too. Would be a good season.

Then offload Myers in the summer.

Agreed, time to re-stock the shelves, draft and develop.
